but will he do pushups in his front yard for the cameras? My guess is that he will never play another down of NFL football.
You'd have to find out for yourself. No one else cares at this point. T.O. is irrelevant.Perhaps next year will mark the return of the TOcho show -- 2 middle aged receivers desperately look for work.but will he do pushups in his front yard for the cameras? My guess is that he will never play another down of NFL football.
I don't know. Last season in Cincinnati, Ocho already looked over the hill, but Owens had some very good games. Now obviously, we don't know the effects of the knee injury, but skill-wise, I bet he has something left in the tank. You'd have to find out for yourself. No one else cares at this point. this . . .My guess is that he will never play another down of NFL football.
He was in the top 10 for most of last year before getting hurt.Assume he's lost a stop one year later, that still putshim in the top 20 category imo.I love how people forget that T.O. was one of the top receivers in the league LAST YEAR before he got hurt.As if he won't play another down in the NFL. Give me a break.
Owens is brutal on losing teams. They're 3-3 but felt like 0-6 today. I'd rather the entertaining Ocho. Can they make a sign and trade deal with the Pats?Owens makes a lot of sense for the Titans.
Trade deadline already passed...Ocho is not going anywhere, unless the Pats cut him.Owens is brutal on losing teams. They're 3-3 but felt like 0-6 today. I'd rather the entertaining Ocho. Can they make a sign and trade deal with the Pats?Owens makes a lot of sense for the Titans.
Did you mean that he performs poorly, or that his presence is brutal? Owens was a top-12 fantasy WR while playing for losing teams in 2000, 2003, 2005, and 2010.Owens is brutal on losing teams.

Who knows.. but with all the injuries to WR's in this league... and the reality that T.O. will come in and produce no matter where he goes... someone who is in the playoff hunt will sign him...my gut still thinks it is TN because of how much having T.O. would help not only the passing game that has faltered since Britt went down, but would help the running game leaps and bounds and help Chris Johnson get back on trackMaybe Washington with Santana breaking his hand...
I dont think there is any question about that. TO brings it on the field. he Always has. Teams have always put up with his off field stupidity because he does bring it on the field. He blocks, he runs good routes, he runs the right routes, and he produces. Now, at his age, coming off ACL surgery, I expect some of his speed will be gone. However, he is still a good Physical receiver who can beat press coverage because of his physicality. Typically it takes 2 full years to recover from ACL Surgery to the point where most of your speed is back. At his age, I dont expect he will recover more quickly as some do. Depending on how his speed is actually affected, he may be better suited to working the slot. He is still a big body, so a corner cant easily get around him and outmuscle him for the ball. I believe he would still be a good possession receiver if he is willing to accept that role. I just dont know that his ego will allow it.That is the issue any team faces in signing the likes of TO.It should also be noted that TO has one of the best football IQs for a wide receiver. He's very intelligent in picking up scheme and would make a quick transition into most offenses. Whether GM's want the clubhouse "risk" that he's developed a reputation for - fairly or unfairly - remains to be seen.It seems too soon for anyone to return from a torn ACL. But... I will give TO credit, if anyone can do it, it is him. He's as hard a worker as I've seen, and I'll be very interested if he's worked his way back into form in such a short period.
I'd believe that.Hes the type of player that is ok when the team is winning, but put him on a loser, and he becomes a problem. That being said, the Raiders could use a WR. I just dont know if they are interested. The rams could use one even more.... but I expect management wouldnt want him to potentially mess with their young QB's head.either way, it will be interesting to see where he lands. I do believe some team will take a chance on him. Its just a question of who it will be.His problem is that good teams (contenders) don't need him and the hack teams don't want to waste time on him. He pretty much needs a significant injury on a good team to get signed.

I was half kidding, if losing I'd prefer the entertaining guy. I understand it wasn't so reasonable. Sounds like speculation on the leg...I bet TO will be wearing a body suit of some sort to show off his fitness. They don't need to be there to watch since it will be televised on NFL network.Wow - Schefter just said "no teams" may attend TO's workout. That would be embarrassing.![]()
Also said his leg might be covered to hide the atrophy.

The Raiders problem is not WR. Why would you want to take snaps away from Denarious Moore or Jacoby Ford? Would that be good for their development? They can't even get Schilens or Murphy involved cause there isn't enough roomI'd believe that.Hes the type of player that is ok when the team is winning, but put him on a loser, and he becomes a problem. His problem is that good teams (contenders) don't need him and the hack teams don't want to waste time on him. Would be ideal if that were to work out... but who knows... anyone know when the workout is actually going to take place???KFFLatriots | Will evaluate Terrell Owens Mon, 24 Oct 2011 22:44:42 -0700 The New England Patriots plan to evaluate free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bengals), who will have an open workout Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the Los Angeles area. He will reportedly run routes and participate in agility drills in front of media and NFL teams. "I think he's no different than a lot of the other players that have been on the street," director of player personnel Nick Caserio said Monday, Oct 24. "We'll evaluate those players when they're available. We'll look at our situation, and then just make the determination, if that's something that makes sense for us." Source: CSNNE.com - Danny Picard
Did you watch last SundayI went ahead and picked him up.. the guy is a TD machine, no matter where he goes he can come in and produce.. he is definitely worth a flier over some other unproven fliers... if he lands on a team in the next few weeks he will definitely be WR3 worthy with upside...Do people seriously think T.O. wouldn't be better than several players in the league right now.
Who would you rather have right now, T.O. or MSW? T.O. or Ocho? T.O. or Lafell or Nanee?
There will be a market for his services. He can still be single coverage from a second corner.
if he doesn't.. than drop him.. but he is definitely worth paying attention too..
I think TEN would be the best landing spot for him being that they are definitely in the playoff hunt with that passing offense with a revived Matt Hasselback in need of a WR.. to go with Chris Johnson it really makes a lot of sense... *hints* why the coach has vocalized that he is considering grabbing him if he is healthy
TEN looks like a horrible place for a WR to go and unless TO doesn't have a better offer I can't see him going there. Can you read?... i posted that on October 19th...Did you watch last SundayI went ahead and picked him up.. the guy is a TD machine, no matter where he goes he can come in and produce.. he is definitely worth a flier over some other unproven fliers... if he lands on a team in the next few weeks he will definitely be WR3 worthy with upside...Do people seriously think T.O. wouldn't be better than several players in the league right now.

TO works out no one shows up.On NFL N Roesenhaus is filming to send to teams but no teams are there yet.
"I think he's gonna be out there and he's gonna perform well."- Jerry RiceJerry Rice told ESPN that Owens is "just not in football shape.” Well if the great one says TO is not in shape who will sign him
ESPN cut to it live this morning/afternoon (depending on what time zone you're in)... Jerry Rice and Rachael Nichols were on the scene. Other than still being a ripped/cut physical freak, he looked sluggish (to me). Choppy steps versus clean cuts, a lot of panting, and a little limping. Every time he doubled over to catch his breath, Rosenhaus would walk over and stand him up. It was a little sad to watch... TO jogging around cones while high school kids played in the background. No NFL scouts on the scene at that time.Following up his "football shape" comment, Rice said it would take about 4 weeks to get that back once he catches on.I'm not sure he will (catch on)... maybe he can still contribute, but the post injury risk factors really seem to be elevated. Oh yeah, and he'll be 38 next month.Jerry Rice told ESPN that Owens is "just not in football shape.” Well if the great one says TO is not in shape who will sign him

Before last week's annihilation the Titans were 3-2, .5 games ahead of Houston for the division lead. Hasselbeck was throwing the ball 36 times a game for 283 yards/game and badly in need of another WR target with the absence of Kenny Britt.
They were 3 point favorites at home to beat the Texans and extend the division lead.
And then they got destroyed and you come in here criticizing Dealerz' opinion (from last week) with the benefit of hindsight.
Wow.
Actually that was my observation/opinion, Jerry Rice did not say that. Rice delivered the line just above this one in my post.Sorry for the confusion.Rice said I'm not sure he will (catch on)... maybe he can still contribute, but the post injury risk factors really seem to be elevated.
