Sell High Candidates (2 Viewers)

Obvious candidates are Jack the Bill, Benson and Skattebro, but I don't think I'd be selling any of them for anything less than a king's ransom.

Not that his value is immensely high atm, but Waddle has strung together two solid games in a bad O. Perhaps this is a time where I can finally get a little value for him as he's essentially my WR4.

KC WR Tyquan Thornton the Patriots reject 2nd round pick from 2022 is showing nice in KC but Worthy back soon and Rice in a few more weeks ...
Sell now before empty targets
2TD & 130 yards on 14 targets last 2 weeks ... Next 5 opponents are Bottom Tier Pass Def

I'm a Jordan Mason believer, but if you are not, now's the time to sell.
Right before the Week 2 game I had a verbal agreement with the Mason owner for two thirds, barring any injuries in the Vikings/Falcons game. Then Aaron Jones went down, so the price changed to a 2nd. Now after Week 3 the price is a late first.

In redraft, I'd consider moving Tet depending on the price. 27 targets but only 14 receptions and seems to be struggling with the exact things he did in college and most of the red flags people had on him. He's surviving off designed plays, and seems to be more popular than his actual production because of some highlight reel plays a la Pickens when he was on the Steelers. I imagine people equate this to greater potential, but me not so much. Dynasty he has plenty of time to work on them and improve, and is still a great pairing with Young. But I don 't think he's going to magically start winning reliably against man coverage this season. Not to mention, Young is barely averaging 200 yards passing a game. And Coker could be back as soon as next week (5), who I think will immediately become a primary target in the offense if healthy.

I'm not saying it's a 100% sell thing, especially with their TE getting injured too. He's still their primary passing option. I just think if I could flip him and turn him into an underperforming WR with higher season long upside, or even fill a position of need due to injury, I would strongly consider it. Then again, that's probably why I already don't own any shares of him hah.

I got offered a first by an 0-3 team for Ayo.

I'm really thinking of it. I don't like his team and am projecting a top/near top pick in 2026.

I'm enjoying Ayo and he's developing nicely but idk that I have him in this super elite range.

Leaning towards doing it

I'm not impressed.
I haven't watched that much but I keep clicking on his stuff on gamepass and I just see a tall or big WR.
I don't see plays few others can make because he's elite.

I don't generally hold rookie-ness against rookies and give them a mulligan but I'd like to see some special flare to his play.

I didn't notice. Is he doing it against top CBs? Maybe he needs a mulligan for that

Skattebo looked awesome this week but also runs like a string of concussions waiting to happen. I am thinking about letting him simmer one more start and then trying to sell.

Javonte Williams. The offense quickly got ugly without Lamb. Against a previously poor chicago defense.

I would definitely shop Tre Tucker. He's like WR4 in PPR. I just can't imagine anyone is buying.

Pearsall. My PPR league shows him as WR11. He'll lose some looks when Kittle and Jennings come back. I've got him a bunch of places. I love the kid. I'm just not opposed to cashing in while he's looking like a top 15 WR.

Pickens: He's in line for more opportunities with Lamb potentially missing a month. The Bears give up the 4th most FPPG to WR's and the 3rd most to QB's. Pickens had a pretty large chunk of the game with no Lamb. He finished with 68 yards and a TD. I just worry--if that's what a Lambless game gets you vs Chicago, he's not suddenly going to blow up. I question if he's someone who needs an Alpha WR to take the defensive pressure off of him.

As a Pickens owner I have a bad feeling that over the next couple weeks minus Lamb Pickens is going to prove he is NOT a #1 WR.

Guy has to step up. Contract year. The time is now for him.

I hope I'm wrong because I have him everywhere.

Definitely an injury that will lower the ceiling of the whole offense, but Dak likes to lean on the top guy. In the past when Ceedee went down, some real scrubs became fantasy relevant, so Pickens should be at least a decent start, though I don't expect him to jump up to WR1 status.

Sell for what? He's on the WW in most leagues because people know Rice and Worthy are coming back.

Thornton runs different routes than Worthy. And he has gained Mahomes eye as a reliable target and more air yards opportunities.
It might be temporary or not.
Until then, Thornton is a viable starter. Sitting on the WW is foolish for any favored KC WR.

Yea he's a decent fill in for the next 2-4 weeks. Definitely should be owned. Someone in my league got him for 3% today. For the purposes of this thread though, I don't think anyone is trading you anything for him. So he's not really a sell high.

I’m shopping around Keenan Allen, who probably is at peak value, though he’s not likely to become a pumpkin like some other classic “sell high” examples. I had someone offer MHJ (plus Joe Mixon, who I don’t think is rosterable) for my Keenan Allen, and that’s the sort of trade I’d love to consider if it wasn’t for the fact that I have too many WRs on week 8 byes to justify rostering another.

Havent watched his games yet. Is he not getting separation or is that speculation based on his draft notes?
Sorry missed this. Honestly ironically enough I listened to Waldman and Bob Harris talk on this on the drive home after posting it and they did better than I could explaining it (his struggles vs man, not that he's a sell but they are typically talking dynasty more than redraft, so def not a sell in dynasty). But yeah, long story short by my amateur eyes he's still struggling to separate from man coverage. He gets bumped off his routes at time, and DBs live in his pocket. To be fair, he does ok in contested catches; but that just doesn't cut it to be a starting X going against top corners. Most of his successful plays I see are schemed for him from the jump; either it's the OC recognizing zone and calling a play that creates a pocket for him to settle in and make a catch (which again, he does well enough). Or they've been running a lot of rub/pick plays for him, especially once the field gets small in towards the redzone. It is all stuff that made me not love him (for his price) in rookie drafts, but it's all continuing here in the NFL as well IMO. Which tbh, is kinda to be expected as a first year rookie in a below average/poor situation.

The sell recommendation from me relies also on the fact they are a low volume passing offense, and I don't see it changing bc it's trying to correct their issues which still kinda exist anyway; sacks on Young and Ints. Add in Coker returning (enter some of my personal bias being high on him, but it's not exactly an uncommon sentiment either), and I just don't Tet improving from where he's at now. I'd probably guess he loses a couple targets a game when Coker comes in. And with his poor efficiency... well I'm just connecting the dots.

Again, not a screaming sell, must get rid of now. He's a solid WR3/flex and if you are thin at the position you'd just hold. But if someone in your league thinks he's better than that and still has him as 4th/5th round pick and willing to trade you a (IMO) better talent in a better situation who's just been underperforming through the first three weeks, or move a position they are deep at but you need (eg. maybe someone drafted some combo of Ferguson/Warren/Kraft or just hit on Judkins and has an extra RB to throw around) I'd make it work. I don't think he's getting better than what we've seen the first three weeks with him this season, and there's a decent chance it gets worse when Coker gets back.
