Sen. Robert Menendez (D) prostitution scandal (1 Viewer)

Wait. The story gets weirder.

A top Dominican law enforcement official said Friday that a local lawyer has reported being paid by someone claiming to work for the conservative Web site the Daily Caller to find prostitutes who would lie and say they had sex for money with Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.).

The local lawyer told Dominican investigators that a foreign man, who identified himself as “Carlos,” had offered him $5,000 to find and pay women in the Caribbean nation willing to make the claims about Menendez, according to Jose Antonio Polanco, district attorney for the La Romana region, where the investigation is being conducted.

How do we know he's not being paid to give this new story now?

Who else, except the people who broke the story, stands to profit? Following the money often brings clarity.

Well, if the guy is being paid for by Menendez's people to say the Daily Caller bribed him, then Menendez would profit politically. (Not saying that's what happened, just that it isn't out of the realm of possibility. Remember when Weiner accused Breitbart of planting the weiner pics?)

So he outed himself so that he could claim someone else lied? Because this is the lawyer that arranged it, no one can find any girl who says they didn't lie for money and the Caller still hasn't produced one shred of evidence. Their investigation seems to be like OJ looking for the killers. Not very fruitful apparently. This guy isn't quite that level of evil genius.

"Mendendez people"

:lmao:

The guy's facing serious corruption charges at home, but I'm sure he's sending his henchmen out to track down and bribe a few dominican hookers.

But by that same logic, he's facing serious corruption charges at home, why would a conservative group waste time and money on something like this. As it's been said before, this whole thing is weird.

Why would Brietbart selectively edit every video they ever did? Why does James Okeefe? Because truth is no longer what some are dealing in and they don't care if they have to lie as long as they get someone.

Remember this scandal? Looks like the entire thing might have been fabricated by the Cuban government to smear Senator Menendez.link

According to a former U.S. official with firsthand knowledge of government intelligence, the CIA had obtained credible evidence, including Internet protocol addresses, linking Cuban agents to the prostitution claims and to efforts to plant the story in U.S. and Latin American media. The alleged Cuba connection was laid out in an intelligence report provided last year to U.S. government officials and sent by secure cable to the FBIs counterintelligence division, according to the former official and a second person with close ties to Menendez who had been briefed on the matter. The intelligence information indicated that operatives from Cubas Directorate of Intelligence helped create a fake tipster using the name Pete Williams, according to the former official. The tipster told FBI agents and others he had information about Menendez participating in poolside sex parties with underage prostitutes while vacationing at the Dominican Republic home of Salomon Melgen, a wealthy eye doctor, donor and friend of the senator.
