Serious Biz Dynasty Year 18 - Now with a poorly formatted table of champions (2 Viewers)

You could have given me dozens of combinations of the players I'd lose, and they would have all been incorrect. Didn't see a run on middle relievers and light hitting middle infielders.

I liked Kurtz in the first, loved Burns in the second, and Buehler is worth a shot at pick 340.
I lost Langeliers, India and Lowe and I was most worried about losing (reliever) A.J. Puk or a prospect, so I think there's a lot of dart throwing / drafting for need going on (myself definitely included).
We lost the one guy I didn't want to lose, Cade Smith. Oh well.

Initial waivers has been set to run Monday Feb 17 at noon EST.

If you haven't posted your drops to get your off-season rosters back to 40, you'll have to do that yourself now. Those players will remain on waivers for 48 hours after they're dropped.

We're using Fantrax Treasurer again so pay up there before April 1st.

Would love to spice things up with a trade. Sitting around all day if anyone wants to do anything. We could use a 1B or OF, plenty of depth, prospects, and good young pitchers imo. We are also pretty loaded with 3B eligible talent, if you have a stud 1B to move.

Raffy Devers, rookie Konnor Alfredo? Griffin, and Gavin Williams for Riley Green, Twins post hype utility Brooks (was here) Lee and future stud B PFaadt. Seemed fair to me.

We are always open for business.

Always interesting to do business w/ Pik. Devers has more injury and position change risk than he did last year but he fills a gaping hole at 3B that I've had since Kris Bryant's demise. I didn't' draft a rookie last month and kind of missed dreaming about some kid's 80% percentile outcome. We'll see if I feel the same about Konnor after protecting him the next 2-3 years. I've always liked Pfaadt but not as much as Pik does; there's a non-zero chance Williams has a better year because pitchers are weird like that.

Altuve is on the block. I expect he will have another big year or three, but that's probably outside our window of contentention. I expect a top six finish for us this year, but we are not close the top of the Mt. yet. Anyway, a younger bat is the cost. Always open to talks and bigger deals. Hit us up.

I'm around watching spring games today if anyone wants to talk trade. Text message is fine also. Most trades get done that way imo.

No one ever wants to trade for injured pitchers in this league :sadbanana:
They're hard to hold when TJ can cost you the better part of two seasons. A lot of my success the last few years has just been UCLs staying intact.

I still would like some sort of long-term IL for those situations, but don't know how to make it work. I had an idea where we get two IL spots, but any player you put on the IL has to stay there the rest of the season, and you must use a protect spot on him in the next CB draft. It sounded nice in my head at first but would have to be enforced manually and I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

I was mostly poking fun at PIK, but you may be onto something. I will rubber-stamp "YES" on any proposed rule change that creates a headache for the commissioner.

Fantrax can't handle this within the app. We could as Sparty suggested track this offline like we used to with the unlisted players in CBS.

60 day IL designees only (1 or 2 max)
Player removed from active team and can't be activated during SB season
Team has to activate player at season's end and make cuts to get back to 40 man roster limit
Player must be protected in ensuing minidraft

Not sure if this is worth the bother but it would have helped me last year with McClanahan.
