Shark move or Overcoaching (1 Viewer)

Nicks - vs Revis

VJackson - hurt

Kahil Bell - Unknown player

Julio Jones - Rookie, inconsistant

Dez Bryant - Can disappear

I have to pick 3. I've been pretty solid all week on Dez, Julio and Jackson. Now with the Jackson injury and Bell looking like he will be a bell cow I am probably over-thinking. Nicks might be the safe play but I've been hurt several times this year with a WR against Revis.

Nothing worse than watching a stud blow up on your bench because you overcoach.

Sanchez (at home splits=great play) or

Manning (manning/cruz hookup??) No TE or Manningham-who will Revis cover?

Calvin-check

R. Bush-Check

Marshal-Check

Need two more from

Cruz (a lot of eggs in one basket if I start Manning)

Willis MacGahee-Great match-up (hammy/Bell & Tebow stealing td's)

Lynch-tough match-up

Maybe sit Cruz and start both Willis and Lynch.

Gheesh what a mess!

Stafford over Romo (i hated making that selection all year) (both are studs... who do you bench when you have 2 studz?)

Tenn over Seattle... Seattle the hot hand, but the matchup is just too tough?

Spiller over Steven Jackson ( i don't consider steven jackson a stud)

I may be going insane. PPR league:Starting Greene, Bell, SpillerSitting Gore, K. Smith, Felix Jones
Trusting Greene....ewwww
Yeah, and I just changed my mind and put in K. Smith instead of Greene. My opponent has Foster/Rice (auction league), so I'm going for the Hail Mary./overcoaching
Hahaha, the "ewww" was for me as much as you. Trying to decide whether to roll w/ Greene or DWill, the latter has a great matchup but didn't do squat against Tampa just 3 weeks ago, and his ceiling is like 15 touches. Argh....but trust Greene??? :puke:

Benching WR Hakeem Nicks NYG in favor of WR Nate Burleson DET

I'm having the feeling that the Chargers will be doubling Calvin Johnson a lot and Stafford will give Burleson at least 7-10 targets. Hopefully he catches several as this is a ppr league. I see Nicks having an ok day but going against Revis Island I'm thinking that Burleson has a better chance at getting those points.

Been riding Tebow since he took over the starting role, but am strongly considering a hot Philip Rivers against Detroit. I just know that whichever way I got I'm gonna get it wrong.

Royster over Peyton Hillis.

Brady over Cam

Kevin Smith over Michael Turner and Cedric Benson

I cringe as I write this - but in PPR - pulled Marshawn Lynch for CJ Spiller - I'm going R. Bush, A Peterson and CJ Spiller. SF run D has been tough - with Champ probably on Stevie - dump offs are in order to CJ is my call.

Lynch carried me here. Unfortunately, I'll be starting Sammy Morris over him, if Felix doesn't go (might do it even if Felix suits up). I Have Felix too. Benching him no matter what.

I'm stuck in an overoaching cycle with V-Jax and Lance Moore. Was going to start Moore no matter what. Now it's looking like Moore might not play and V-Jax is. Ugh....

dropped felix jones to pick up sammy morris. still waiting for the game time decision to start morris or kevin smith

Reeling over this one. Love the Moss matchup. Love the last three weeks Harvin and Demaryius have. Got Dez but don't trust the spread out targets anymore.

Brain says Moss, Heart says Demaryius, Pros say Harvin.
Went with Moss--can't pass up the matchup at home. We get to call last minute injury replacements and for that it's Demaryius in another great match. Harvin's numbers have fallen with AP back, and with Dez in the kicking game and a full complement I can't handle the low floor. I'll get Romo's points anyway. Going up against Rodgers, Gore, R Bush, and Roddy White headlining the #1 team this year so we'll be hanging on the edge of our seats all weekend!! :banned:
Well damn. :( Still got play but that hurts. Hate to leave points on the table in a game where you need all the points you can get.

eta: "Harvin's numbers have fallen with AP back" Screw the numbers--just saw the thread and real sorry about what happened to AP. One of my favorite players.

Ehh, it likely won't matter thanks to Steve Smith/Hernandez doing next to nothing, but should've went w/ my gut & started DWill instead of either Greene or McGahee

I'm down 34 points heading into tomorrow. I feel like I've given myself the best chance to win - I've had 3 steady players in my 8 person starting lineup - Phillip Rivers, Ray Rice and Percy Harvin. The other 5 starters (really 3, if you ignore the kicker and defense, which is match-up based)have been waiver wire pickups.

Felix Jones would have been my 2nd RB. I picked up Sammy Morris and Kahlil Bell in case the Jones hamstring injury got too murky and I ended up with the right decision there by starting Bell. Now, he needs to have a good night.

My 3rd WR spot is still up for grabs.

Earl Bennett, Donald Driver and Randal Cobb are all under consideration for that last spot. Of course, any thoughts on this play is appreciated. I don't think I can play Bennett. He may be the best WR of the bunch, but I would really be upset if I have 2 Chicago Bear players in my lineup and they struggle to score 10 points. Right now, I have Cobb in there. I feel he is the most likely to have upside. Driver may score a TD, may have an ok night, but I kind of think he's likely for a 4-40 and maybe a TD while Cobb is capable of breaking a catch anytime he touches the ball.

My 3rd player still to play is Matt Bryant on MNF. No idea how he actually performs, but I'm likely to need a few FG's, maybe get about 10 points in my league, and leave the other 24 to Bell and the 3rd WR. At this point, I'm kind of thinking Bell is going to need at least a 15, maybe a 20 of the 34 points and the other two will probably need to split the 14 points that I need.

I think I'm likely to lose, but have given myself at least a chance. It comes down to Bell performing and that's a big question mark.

Played Matt Moore.

Sat Chris Johnson for Kevin Smith.

Picked up Evan Royster.

Picked up and started Graham Gano.

Played Victor Cruz over Mike Wallace.

First rule of fight club is.....First rule of FF is "Start your studs"Second rule of FF is "if you have no studs, ride the hot hand"Third rule of FF is "factor in your matchups"Fourth rule of FF is "If you're down to the fourth rule you've overcoached your way to a loss"So, with late season injuries, some juicy matchups, and victory in the balance what are some of your Shark moves for Championship week.1) Starting both DWill and JStew (CJ1K and Beanie on the bench). Love the matchup at home against TB, both healthy and I can see a TD for each. (Total overcoach)2) Benching GB DEF and starting a KC DEF that is facing my opponents QB Palmer so I can double dip on INTs (Shark move)What are you boldly doing with Championship on the line?
In a 12 team, 13 year, 25 roster spot Dynasty league I was pleased with these moves, especially DWill and JStew and I had Welker as well. Problem is I had Romo and Bailey, so I have a modest lead. I over-coached and sat KC DEF at last minute and put in GB (I needed something to root for tonight). So, in custom scoring (average game score/team is 50pts) I have 12 point lead with Coston/GB DEF vs Roddy/PK Kasay. So, if Colston can equal Roddy I should win.
