Shark Pool Mock Draft 2011 - 4 Rounds (1 Viewer)

I'm not sure this is how to "officially" go about doing it, but the Redskins have traded their 2nd round pick (2.09) to the Saints for their 2nd and 3rd round picks (2.24 and 3.24). Please adjust the board accordingly. Honestly, we'd like to wait to see what is actually still available at that pick before trading down, but in case I don't sign on for a few hours after the pick before me, I don't want to hold up the entire process just for a trade down.
Confirmed! This trade is dead even on the NFL pick value chart. Thanks matttyl!
Is Ted Thompson the trade up kind of guy? I thought he was more likely to trade down. Aren't we doing this how we think the franchise we selected would do it?
He's drafting for the Saints, not the Packers. Regardless, I know the Skins "should" do this deal, we need to build up our picks and get some help all over the place!

Pretty sure any team would move any direction if it thought it was gaining value. And what players they are projecting to be there, or not be there, goes a long way in the determination.
I was just going to say that I don't remember Ted Thompson ever trading up but then I remembered he traded up to get Clay Mathews, right?
Yep, and then traded up again in the 3rd for Morgan Burnett.
Either way, Ted Thompson doesn't work for the Redskins or the Saints.

This is the best mock draft I've been into! Lots of opinions and surprises.

I love the Ingram pick. Although I don't suppose he'll fall this far, the probability is greater than the period immediately after the Combine.

Locker pick still preplexes me, but he did say he wanted to trade down.

It really shouldn't at this point.

Tackling Dummies hasn't been on since 3:45 yesterday. Let's come to a consensus and take someone. He has other picks to make later.

My vote is either Justin Houston or Brooks Reed.

Carolina is interested in trading up into the second round. 2012 2nd and two 2011 3rds are available.
The Redskins have already traded out of their 2nd round pick, but what would you have given up to move to #41? Obviously the Skins wouldn't have traded out of that pick until it was their turn, and not until hearing from at least a few teams.

Depending on who was there at the time, the 2012 2nd (it'll be early) or the two thirds from this year. The Redskins have already traded out of their 2nd round pick, but what would you have given up to move to #41? At 1.30 the Jets are pretty happy with what is still available but would move down for the right price.

Why would the Skins move from an "early" 2nd round pick this year to an "early" 2nd round pick next year without getting something in return for skipping a year? Especially considering the holes we have and the fact that we don't currently have a 3rd or a 4th this year.As for the two 3rd this year, they're combined "value" is over 100 points away from the Skins #41 pick according to the "value chart" - doesn't make sense either.I was seeing if you'd give next year's 2nd and a 3rd this year.

I can see your point, when I posted about moving up I was thinking the last 3rd of the second round.

What do you think, chinawildman? Are we going to wait or should we go?
How long has it been since the previous pick?
Only 3.5 hours.
I'll give it until 4pm CST. If he hasn't selected by then we'll give them Justin Houston.
Or maybe have a couple Pat fans give out some choices.
Not a bad idea, any Pats fans wanna make a pick for Tackling Dummies at 1.28?

I'm a pats fan but I don't want to be solely responsible. Make a poll with 3-4 guys.

chinawildman, wanna institute a clock from like 9am until 11pm? if people won't be around to make their picks, they can PM them to you in order like a waiver claim? and if they're all taken, they get consensus BPA?like 1.5-2hr clock?

1.28, The New England Patriots select Benjamin Ijalana, OT, Villanova

With the uncertainty of Mankins deal and Neal retiring, a need pick here.

Pick 1.29 The Chicago Bears take Akeem Ayers LB UCLA

I don't think that Ayers would be here at this pick, but he fill's in nicely in a need at SLB for the Bears, and can move to WLB, or MLB in couple season. I'm guessing Jerry Angello is planning on moving back in the draft, with a team loking to move up into the 1st to snag a QB.

Major needs are DT and interior offensive line for the Bears. Marvin Austin DT UNC was a thought here to fill the void of Tommy Harris, but character concerns will push him down the boards, and the Bears wouldn't want to invest a 1st in another head case.

2nd round look for the Bears to grab a line man.

I don't think Ayers would be here at this pick, but if the draft goes as this mock does I can see this happening.

Personaly I think a 4 hour clock is good enough. Give people some time and along with PM's going out this draft would be done well before the draft.

We can compromise on the time.

People have been PMing me their picks/list of potentials for me to draft in case they're not around. That hasn't happened yet, but I'd like to give ppl a couple of hours to sign in/ponder what they wanna do. Also I prefer to read the writeups from the actual drafters themselves as opposed to me just choosing someone off a list.

The Jets accepted a trade from the San Diego Chargers.

Picks #50 and #61 go to the Jets and the Chargers use pick 30 to select Adrian Clayborn, DE Iowa.
