Shark Pool Sounding Board - Random Shots (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys,

Is this over the line?

Forbes magazine recently ranked Milwaukee Wisconsin as the "Most Drunken City" in America. http://www.forbes.com/2006/08/22/nightlife..._0822intro.html Is nearby Green Bay really the best place for new Packer Koren Robinson? I'm just asking....
If it is, how far over?J
This is the same Forbes that had to re-tract an article written by the Editor due to outcry by women. I think they are stretching for free publicity or trying to have an edge.

living in Green Bay most of my life.. and having spent 9 years in Milwaukee... i can say with confidence that GB is easily the more drunken town. hands down. it's not really even a contest.

if you don't come from a family of alcoholics and you live here.. then you aren't from here.

Milwaukee isn't exactly "nearby" to Green Bay -- more like two hours apart.

Being from WI myself, I wouldn't be surprised if you could take it a step further and say it's the "most drunken state". :banned:

easily.

Definately a 'shot' at Krob and not over the line. But I don't think it is accurate. In fact Brett Favre (who sucked in Atlanta b/c he was always hammered and partying in buckhead and not working/studying) credits a lot of his success to returning to a small town greeen bay life and leaving the party in ATL. I'm not sure Krob and Brett would hang in the same places, but this is the kind of thing we hear would debate. I don't think it is over the line.

Joe is from Texas. 2 hours is nearby (heck, in Houston, 2 hours away is about 5 miles during rush hour).
:yes:But seriously, isn't Milwaukee thought of as being linked to Green Bay?Better question, what's the next biggest city to Green Bay with the highest population of Packer fans?J
Milwaukee fans have 2 season tickets to Lambeau.. but we're not really connected. can barely get Brewers or Bucks news up here.1) Milwaukee2) Madison - lots of people from all over the world here. probably not as intense in the fandom dept. as GB, which would be #3 in size but far and away most enthusiastic about the team.3) Green Bayeta: above list = city sizefan enthusiasm1) Green Bay2) Milwaukee3) Madison

If you looked for closet fans, then you'd probably have to say Minneapolis.

Favre grew up.

I've always appreciated a little irreverance in Random Shots. Its the lighter side of the game. I like it, Joe. Surprising, I know. :D

By turn the corner you mean trading Beer in for Vicodin?now THAT was a shot. :boxing:Love,A Lion fan who will love watching the debacle that is the Packers this year. Krob is kinda like Tiffany Amber Thiessen coming to an already great 90210 cast... you never know what is gonna happen!

Hmmm...I asked if Jerry Jones was notified that his secondary was missing when news of a firey bus crash was reported the day after Moss smoked Dallas deep twice late in the game and was sent to the showers to have a great season. I'd probably say that you're not being excellent to KRob's family or other's with the disease of alcoholism. Then again you do offer the money back guarantee so you should probably roll with whatever you'd like to.

If you have to ask, then you probably already know the answer. Wait, unless you're asking because you don't know the answer. In that case you have to ask. Never mind. Ignore me -I'm drunk.
