That blog never had any mention of the deal you suggest.

Doug Melvin has already said that any deal involving Weeks, Hardy, Hart, Braun or Fielder will not happen. He is not breaking up the core of the team.

I can confirm this. I read it as well the other night. It could just be a ploy to get Minnesota and Oakland to lower their expectation on Santana and Haren.

IF they did this, I could see them moving Hall back to SS and replacing him in CF with Tony Gwynn Jr., maybe trading Lugo again, or making him a utility.I would love to see them move Sheets and JJ to Minn. for Santana
