Sheets & Hardy to Red Sox rumor (1 Viewer)

That blog never had any mention of the deal you suggest.

Doug Melvin has already said that any deal involving Weeks, Hardy, Hart, Braun or Fielder will not happen. He is not breaking up the core of the team.

I can confirm this. I read it as well the other night. It could just be a ploy to get Minnesota and Oakland to lower their expectation on Santana and Haren.

ETA: Rumor...nothing more, nothing less.

Why would Milwaukee do this?
To not pay Sheets 12 million to pitch 20 games?
And they're going to downgrade at SS (and pay Lugo more) for the privilege? If they really wanted to loose him, wouldn't they just dump him for prospects? :goodposting:
IF they did this, I could see them moving Hall back to SS and replacing him in CF with Tony Gwynn Jr., maybe trading Lugo again, or making him a utility.I would love to see them move Sheets and JJ to Minn. for Santana :excited:

Too much $$$.

I have heard absolutely nothing on this. I wouldn't mind Sheets being dealt though. I don't think JJ is going anywhere without a serious return.

One of the more laughable rumors I have heard. Need to give Melvin alot more credit than that. Julio Lugo? Too funny.
