I don't know what the Giants think they're holding onto here other than a distraction and a major pain in the butt. They simply need to cut their losses and move him out of there. He's nothing more than a detriment at this point. This is quickly turning into a T.O./Philly thing. The longer this thing festers, the worse it's going to get. Shockey is far from being worth all of this. He wasn't happy in that huddle to begin with.
I predict that Shockey will start and play for the Giants this year and do fine.. He does this kind of stuff constantlyh; its not like its a new revelation. if Jerry Reese thought there was a real problem, he would have unloaded him when the timing was good, during April ahead of the draft. These two parties are married and Shockey is too talented for them to let go, and to much of a player to miss any games.
The Giants' chances of success does not weigh on whether or not Shockey is around, that's ridiculous. They should have unloaded him when the gettin' was good, indeed, during the draft. The Giants were just too greedy, and now the Saints have lost interest.Married? Most marriages end in divorce. Too talented? Not hardly. Boss filled the void just fine.Hey, I'm a Cowboys fan. If the Giants want to hold onto him, I'll be more than happy to sit back and watch another house of cards fall in the NFC East.IAll I have to do is order extra popcorn. I can manage that.
