:thumbup:i guess LT/greene may as well share a thread. They share a job. but this was gonna be about his injury status. I don't need to wade through 50 posts of excited lt owners blatheriing about how their 10th rounder is outperforming my 3rd rounder. We'd rather be alone. :hot:

I think Shonn Greene will come around, either due to an LT injury, or as the weather gets cold and the Jets run more.

Me too. I don't own him, but I'm going to start sniffing around him pretty soon here. I've got LT anyway, so might as well hitch their wagons for the late season push.

Greene was on the field for the final kneel down. The way he was dancing while the clock was running out I wouldn't be too concerned.

I'm going to offer Harvin to the Greene owner this week and see if he bites.

Me three. Kudos to LT for playing balls to the wall, but I expect Greene to be the late season push for the Jets.

I think Greene is a great buy low to pair with LT going forward. I'm sure Greene owners thought they would be in the catbird seat at this point in the season, but it is us LT owners that have emerged early. This team carried the ball over 600 times last season. No way LT holds up to even 350 of those. The rest go to Greene. Maybe not in September, but later on they will.

Guys. I think its important to note that talent isn't an issue with Greene. The guy is an absolute beast to tackle. He happens to take the bulk of his carries in formations where the opposing defense is expecting the run. He isn't nimble on his feet like LT is but he's got tremendous burst and runs with power. To all the Greene owners out there, and I'm one of them, hang tight.

I hear ya on the don't-sell-low take but any concern about Shonn's playoff schedule (MIA, @ PIT, @ CHI)?Just worried I'll be waiting half the season for him to out play LT and then right when he's looking better, he'll run into that buzz saw. Thinking maybe I'm better off "selling low" to someone who thinks they're getting a "steal" from me.

L.T. isn't going anywhere. Greene will not be startable while L.T. is healthy. I'll admit I really underestimated L.T. this year and thought Greene would be the man, but that is clearly not the case. L.T. is a far more dynamic back and is revitalized this year and running with purpose.

Greene will be a great buy-low candidate. I'd be shocked if LT doesn't start to wear down, and as that happens, I think they'll start riding a fresh Greene more and more

I listened to an L.T. interview on the radio. He said this is the first year in many that he is not recovering from an injury and feels in the best shape of his career. As a Green owner. L.T. burst my bubble.

This will be the year L.T. does not break down, and he will have a year like C. Martin had a few years ago when everyone said he was wash up. Green looks like the back with no burst, and playing like he is coming off a major injury.

Isn't next week the kinda week that Greene will run wild? They should get a big lead (don't think Buffalo can move the ball against them) and I'd expect Greene to get the chew the clock carries, no?

I'm rolling with him this week over Spiller and LawFirm (since Charles is on a bye and Rice may be injured against the Steelers)

:lmao: I'm a Greene owner and, while we can speculate all day about chance of injury - the above seems true to me too. Watching these guys run this year, Green looks like the old back that's hanging on too long.

Rumor has it that he fell so far in the draft because his medical charts were horrible. Probabaly more to come on injuries with this guy.

Jets really havent opened up the ground and pound yet....Balt shut them down and they gotinto shootouts in NE/Miami games - I would think Rex pounds the ball at Buffalo and gets both LT and Greene more carries and better numbers this week.

I saw him limping off right before they got down by the goal line. Any word on his injury or seriousness of it?
He did limp off the field, but he was in on the last play of the game dancing around in celebration. Maybe it was just a cramp.

 I'll probably sell him after the next game. I'm hoping he goes off against the Bills.
