Okay I am guilty as charged here and yes, I am 15-20 pounds over weight. I pretty much wear a suit every day of the work week, but I wear shorts 365 days a year when I get home. 

I don’t own a pair of jeans—-haven’t since high school and  yes, I shovel snow in my shorts. Now I do have a pair or two of sweats that I will put on to go outside if there is a dangerous wind-chill, but like today, it was 30 degrees here in Colorado and that is a very seasonable temp to me. I have lived here all my life and I hate being hot.

Was hoping this thread was for us short guys.

I'm 5'7" 

5'6". I'm generally a shorts guy, as well. Part of it is related to being short as well. Sam's recently started carrying lines of long britches that actually fit, so I do wear pants now more than in the past, but generally, when you have a 24-25" inseam and no time to get pants tailored, shorts are just much easier. Though, these days, finding the right ones can also be a headache. I don't know what it is with men these days wearing shorts that are essentially baggy capri pants. Shorts that are actually, you know, short, do seem to be coming back into favor though.
