So does any thread asking about prospects, deep dynasty stashes, predictions, etc. Most SP threads can be construed as ACF types. On one hand these threads do not have the OP asking for advice on their specific team as they are stating what they are doing, but on the other hand, it seems like a clever way to initiate conversation to get advice for your specific team.
Im surprised they have been allowed in the SP.
I can see the gray area, but I would have thought they were AC threads.
The Shark Pool (NFL Talk)
Threads that are asking for advice on how you should draft or manage your team belong in the Assistant Coach's Forum.
The Shark Pool is reserved for sharing NFL talk and fantasy football strategy discussion.
The Assistant Coach
This is the forum to look for answers to all of your who to start, trade advice, and rate my team questions.

I have probably opened 3 of these kinda threads all year.
I just skip them, but there are quite a few of them.
If I wanted advice on WSIS, and didn't want to go to the AC, I would simply start a
I'm benching LT for_____ thread in the SP, to see if enough people sided with or against me, thus giving me my answer.
I suppose decent discussion could come of it, perhaps a compromise?
Im starting ____ over ____
QB edition week 14
Im starting ____ over ____
RB edition week 14
WR, TE, D/ST....this would limit them to only 4-5 per week, or is that still too much?? Maybe 1 master thread?
Either way, the few that I have read basically seemed like a AC thread, with a couple of posts throwing out relevant stats.
I see no place for them in the SP. If you are thinking of benching a stud, start a thread on the reasons why and see if other posters agree/disagree. Naming 2 players is basically a WDIS
x2Well, youre the one who wants to look through only one forum for all your FF needs, and FBG has multiple forums. I like the fact that there are different forums, so i am going to say you are the one who is in the wrong place.Am I or are you? Then you are in the wrong place. If Yudkin's post about OJ gets moved and Chase Stuart's trivia posts get moved then I'm gonna stop coming to FBG's, because the whiners are taking over! I don't want to look through 6 forums to find what I need, I want to look through 1. I would prefer a forum that is labeled football and another that's labeled everything else. Strip this forum too much, and I'm willing to bet that the people that leave outnumber those who stay.

There are reasons for separate forums. Is it too much to ask that people appreciate the difference and have enough courtesy and respect to follow the rules?Isn't this a FF forum? Get over it

If you enjoy reading them why would you start a thread asking if they should be banned?big_donkey said:There have been alot of these "I'm benching/starting_______________for" type threads all season. I don't mind them as long as the OP doesnt ask a WDIS question. Making a statement that I'm starting_____ is much different than "should I". Some people belive that these posts should be in the AC forum only.
If there are any mods out ther that can make a ruling or just give a clarificatioin as to where these should be posted. TIA
I have never started one of these myself, but enjoy reading them.
Lets us Fantasy Football Junkies know where to post these and then everyone will be happy.
Thanks.

because people flood every thread with this ######ry.Too bad, these threads are ACF material, and as long as people are inconsiderate enough to post them in the Shark Pool, i will let them know they dont belong here.Egh. This has been discussed and answered many times before - especially by Joe. The threads can include decent strategy discussions so eliminating them would be counterproductive to some decent discussionsn (paraphrasing joe, here). Also, this is a FF message board and everyone is here for FF. I know the SP is the NFL board and not FF, but crossover/overlap is expected and there's nothing you can do about it. I suggest you roll with it. If you don't like the thread because of the topic, then stay out of it. Complaining about it makes the pool a worse. If people would just stay away from the things they didn't like, this place would be much more tolerable. The incessant whining and complaining is much more annoying than stupid threads. I can avoid the threads I don't like or want to be part of. I can't avoid thebecause people flood every thread with this ######ry.

We don't get french benefits?

Yidkin's OJ post is borderline but ok. Stuart's post should be in the FFA Forum he should know betterIf Yudkin's post about OJ gets moved and Chase Stuart's trivia posts get moved then I'm gonna stop coming to FBG's, because the whiners are taking over! Because I was reading a few of these yesterday and several people kept pissing about them being in the SP. I believe that if it's a I'm benching player A for player B for these reasons, it ok for it to be in the SP. If it's a "pick 3 " type post then it should be in the AC forum. Some people have complained about which forum, so I'm asking someone from FBG's to let us know. I don't care either way. I just want all the whinning to stop.If you enjoy reading them why would you start a thread asking if they should be banned?big_donkey said:There have been alot of these "I'm benching/starting_______________for" type threads all season. Then why not just eliminate the ACF?DIdin't read all the posts so sorry if this has been said...Just my .02 ......No, if you don't want to read them, don't look at them... SOme times people just like to hear others thoughts to see if they are similar to ones own thoughts.... THis is a great fantasy message board and things like this are what make it great.. If you don't like it's real easy to not read.... I know I look at them occasionally to see what others are thinking...... GT
I agree, and the WDIS threads won't just sink to the bottom unanswered. You'll have OPs constantly bumping them up and reposting. Have you seen how craigslist.com looks lately in the classifieds? Imagine a constant battle of look at my thread with the good news and info threads lost in the mess. WDIS posters should just look at the FBG rankings and be done with it.I can handle a couple here and there. My problem is if threads like that are not discouraged, the Shark Pool is going to turn into the ACF.I really get very little info on about 80% of the posts on this site even though FBG and a lot of posters do a very good job of making good threads. I' usually reading through pages of quoted and re-quoted threads, to find a post or 2 that gives me what I'm looking for. If I'm able to put up with that, you can skip a few threads.Thats true, but pretty soon there will be so many of them, that i will just stop coming here. It has gotten worse every year since i have been here, and i have been here a long time.I understand what your saying. But you still do not have to read any "I'm starting_________over______" threads. If you choose to, then thats on you.Burning Sensation said:Because the Shark Pool is basically turning into the ACF. My guess is that people posting WDIS threads in the Shark Pool are not subscribers. Why pay for the info, when you can rudly get it in the Shark Pool.I agree, and the WDIS threads won't just sink to the bottom unanswered. You'll have OPs constantly bumping them up and reposting. if it was that simple, wouldn't everyone agree?Doesn't bother me. If you don't like it, don't read it. Simple as that
When there are 15 or 20 of them on the page it is taking space away from useful info.Doesn't bother me. If you don't like it, don't read it. Simple as that
Fact is, most people dont care about other peoples teams, thats why they dont go to the ACF. That is no reason to post ACF questions in the Shark Pool though.Maybe if the ACF had decent traffic from folks that know FF more people would post there instead of posting it in the SP

I'm part of the "if you don't want to read them, don't open them crowd.
In my mind, the real question is "should this thread have been banned?" - or at least closed by now. Just the fact that someone feels the need to make the same argument about 8 times gives me a real burning sensation.

You keep saying the same things in the same threads. Continually bumping these threads you hate to the top of the page and not letting them fall off.....then complaining again that they are still there. Shockingly if you would stop posting in these threads they would be gone much faster. Perhaps you should try ignoring them over the next few days and see if they start to fall off the front page a bit faster.I'm part of the "if you don't want to read them, don't open them crowd.

At least there is only one of these, as opposed to hundreds of WDIS threads.A thread of you complaining about the aforementioned threads, has even less place in the shark pool.
