Should the Yankees titles from the 90s/00s get an *?

I don't think the Patriots SB's should be *'d just for the video taping of signals, though I do think their legacy is tainted. If they video taped the walk through, though, I'll likely change my mind.

But, if I did think they should be *'d for the signal taping, should the Yankees?

I don't see how the two equate. In one situation, the head coach knowingly decided his team should cheat and set the club's employees to do so. In the other, individual players cheated to further their careers, I'm assuming without the coach and/or GM being complicit.

If the Yankees set up an East Germanesque steroid program for the players, then I'd say they equate and sure, * the hell out of them. I don't care enough about baseball to have followed the steroid stuff in that detail, but I'm not aware of that having been the case. If that wasn't the case though, I don't see how individual players cheating equates to the steward of the organization deciding to cheat.
Can I enfer from your comment that you place an asterisk next to the 70s Steelers Dynasty, which featured rampant steroids use on offensive and defensive lines?
Did they get caught and punished by the league?
So you're saying getting caught is the measuring stick?

In a forum devoted to football its amazing how dumb so many of the posters are.The idea that the Pats were an exception and not the norm when it came to cheating and breaking the rules is so laughable.

A ton of teams cheat...a ton of players use HGH and are on other illegal substances...a ton of FO's find ways to cheat the cap...etc etc etc. Hell the two most recent dynasties...The 90 cowboys and 2000 Pats both had HOF head coaches who have openly admitted to taping the opposing team and "cheating" even though they simply viewed it as gamesmanship.

Its fine if you hate the Pats, there are plenty of reasons to, and enjoy their misery having choked in the SB but to actually think that the Pats are a some exception to the otherwise pure and holy league in regards to breaking rules and "cheating" is ######ed and just makes the person constantly bringing it up look pathetic.

News Flash

Tons of people in baseball used steroids and many probably still use HGH given its really hard to catch in tests.

Tons of people in football also did the above and the use of HGH is way more valuable in the NFL than in MLB so you know guys are using it left and right.

People doctored balls and bats and did all kinds of shady #### in MLB.

Same goes for football.

Its been going on for decades.
