I was wondering what your guys opinions are about trading away players if your team is out of the playoff hunt. I don't mean trading for the sake of collusion, but if an owner offers you a fair trade, should you take it??? In one of my leagues (redraft league) I was trying to make a trade for a top tier RB and had Peyton Manning as trade bait- The big ones out there such as Adrian Peterson, LT, Addai, S. Jackson, & Westbrook were either in my division or untouchable. A team in my league had Willie Parker, but he was 1-7 and out of the playoff hunt. I offered him Peyton Manning and Thomas Jones for Drew Brees & Willie Parker. Keep in mind this was before last weeks performance by Brees. The commisioner in my league freaked out and said that the guy I offered the trade to had "no right to trade" because he was out of the playoff race at this point. However, our league offers a $200 prize for the team who scores the most points and doesn't make the playoffs, and that guy is only about 70 points from the next team to get that prize. In my opinion, you should be able to do what you want with your team as long as it isn't collusive. What do you guys think??
