Shuke's 1400 favorite songs by 1400 different artists. (5 Viewers)

You don't have a pic with those wire frames?  You were wearing them last two times I saw you, you telling me you didn't wear them in the 70's?
naw ...I wore contacts basically 24/7 since I was 13.  I hated my glasses.

When you saw me I had some issues with my eyes drying out and had to stop wearing contacts.  Just recently started wearing contacts some again.

203. Electric Light Orchestra - Livin' Thing

Extremely tough pick for me.  So many great classics that I really like that I'm going to link some of the others.

Do Ya

Can't Get It Out Of My Head

Fire on High

tough to get away from 10538 Overture for me.
I really love ELO - so, I am not at all crit'n the picks - these are sweet. But, I want to add a really cool ELO video.

E.L.O (Electric Light Orchestra) All Over The World

It must have been fun making this thing.

I learned about some song about a cat from the 70s
A quick google of "songs about cats" gave me only three top choices from the 70s:  (1) "Honky Cat" by Elton John, which no person would ever choose as their Elton John song; (2) "Cool for Cats" by Squeeze, but shuke already took "Tempted" by them earlier, and (3) my therefore-default answer, "Year of the Cat" by Al Stewart.

BONUS MATERIAL ALERT

Before we dive into the top 200, I need to post these three egregious misses on my part.

1001. Simon and Garfunkel - The Boxer

Not sure what happened here.  I could have sworn it was in my list at some point, but maybe I accidentally deleted it.  Should be somewhere in the middle of the top 100.

1002. Guess Who - No Sugar Tonight / New Mother Nature

Not sure how I missed them, but realized last week that I did.  I love this song.  Should be somewhere around 250.

1003. Foghat - Slow Ride

Another miss.  Only explanation I can think of is that when I first started assembling my list, I was trying to stay away from overplayed classic rock, and then when I started to add them back, I missed it.  Should be somewhere around 700.

A few others...

1004. Jonathan Edwards - Sunshine

Hadn't heard it for a long time until recently.  Should be somewhere around 850.

1005. Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You

This was posted in one of the one hit wonder threads recently.  I don't think I've ever heard it.  Would have put it somewhere in the 900's.

1006. New Madrid - Country Moon Pt. 1

Heard this on Spotify or the radio in recent weeks.  Would have found a spot for it if I had heard it earlier.

Correct!

Check out the big brain on Brad.

I love these two.  For some reason I've never loved S&G as much as most people seem to, but that song certainly does it for me.  The Edwyn Collins one is a great guilty pleasure.
