I think that is Dan Steely.

I’ve never heard of such a thingkrista4 had given up on some of her favorites making it, but with Sniff n the Tears cracking the top 20, there's hope for everyone!

Way to go!I have a friend who's tight with someone in Dead and Company. I told him about this thread and how i thought Eyes of the World was going to be the #1 song. Asked him if he could get word to the boys and maybe open the show tonight with EOTW in honor of Shuke and the thread. He chuckled and said he'd see what he could do but I didn't expect anything out of it. So I tune in for the opener tonight and this happened.

I still don't know what this means. The bear is walking with you ...![]()
New. Sweet. Good start.10. Band of Horses - The Funeral
Another band that I love pretty much every song on every album. But this tops them all.
They've gone through some personnel changes over the years (I love this chart on wiki), including losing two long-time members a couple years ago. I saw them last year after that change, but they were still awesome. Bridwell is the heart and soul of the band.
Grateful Dead - Jerry Walking with Bears PatchI still don't know what this means.
I know very little about Phish. But, I think that @SWC would approve of this:9. Phish - Fluffhead
The song appears as two tracks on the Junta album, but it's all played now just as "Fluffhead".
Here's a live version if you want to feel like being at a concert. This was the first song played after they reunited in 2009 after a lengthy hiatus.
Being a fan of the Grateful Dead, it was only natural for me to be exposed to a lot of Phish. I love both bands, but I think they get associated too closely. There are plenty of fans of one group that doesn't like the other, and that's totally understandable, as the music really is different.
While I had hundreds of hours of bootlegs and all the albums, for some reason I was never able to see Phish early on, and I very much regret it. I didn't see them until 2017.
A lot of great songs I could list as "also considered", but one that occupied this spot for a long time was Divided Sky. I've soured on it some because there's now an obligatory long pause during the middle of the song that I'm not a fan of. @pecorino already hashed this out in his Phish thread so I won't get into more details here.
part of it8. Beatles - Abbey road medley
Yes, it's one song. That's the "shuke rule".
Unfortunately, Youtube has them split as separate tracks so there is a slight pause between them. I'm not sure what I'll find on Spotify.
I was a HUGE Beatles fan when I was young, I'm talking 6th/7th grade. This album was my favorite. A few years later, I was in high school, and visiting Ohio University for the weekend with my two cousins (one of them the infamous person who I never found at that Buckeye Lake Grateful Dead show), and they snuck me into some bars. There was a band at one that broke out this melody in its entirety. Holy crap it was awesome and I couldn't wait to go to college!

This could be interesting. This is like getting kicked in the nuts and then getting a frozen Milky Way.
Did you hear the early extended version on those minidiscs that got hacked and then released?7. Radiohead - Paranoid Android
Here's yet another band I discovered on SNL. It was in 2000 following their release of Kid A. Sure, I'd heard Creep, but I totally had missed The Bends and OK Computer. I blame the FFA for this. This is what the wife and I saw, and we (especially me) were blow away. Within days I had all the CDs and it was all I was listening to for months.
Other favorites: Airbag, National Anthem, High and Dry
One of the best public television performances ever. Total jazz/ondes martonet freakout. But as years go by, I like Thom Yorke less and less and find him annoying and unrelatable. I want to smack his watch eye straight.
So like getting kicked in the nuts twice? This is like getting kicked in the nuts and then getting a frozen Milky Way.
I saw them last year, and I was pleasantly surprised at how cool and down to earth Thom was with the audience. I always assumed he was an ###hole. One of the best public television performances ever. Forgot (once again) about GUEST APPEARANCE. @The Dreaded Marco chose Let Down as one of his three picks. That's right, he's the big winner, with his three artists falling in my top 20.7. Radiohead - Paranoid Android

I think I can totally believe that. My response to Yorke and his sociopolitical outlook is admittedly and embarrassingly akin to the bully in gym class watching the way-past-spastic kid in the corner gesticulate and piss himself while attempting to not play dodge ball.I saw them last year, and I was pleasantly surprised at how cool and down to earth Thom was with the audience. The only response. Frozen Milky Ways are a tease of epic proportions. Can't enjoy all that goodness. So like getting kicked in the nuts twice?
Choking out the singer of Phish. This could be interesting.
How exactly do you plan to use the Milky Way?
added to spotify - nice.10. Band of Horses - The Funeral

You really are insufferable. Seriously. The only response. Frozen Milky Ways are a tease of epic proportions. Can't enjoy all that goodness.
is the guy crouched down with the radio-controller car unit adding anything to the performance?Forgot (once again) about GUEST APPEARANCE. @The Dreaded Marco chose Let Down as one of his three picks. That's right, he's the big winner, with his three artists falling in my top 20.
Can't believe I nailed it.5. Rolling Stones - Monkey Man
So many great choices, but you can't beat those opening notes.
Also considered: Can't You Hear Me Knockin, Gimme Shelter, She's A Rainbow, Loving Cup
@Dr. Octopus shame on you.
