1029. Love - Alone Again Or

Was on my short cut list originally. I heard a great cover of this earlier in the week and remembered how good this is.
Searched the thread to see if you had already picked something from my MAD 5 artist.

If a bunch of Love fans submitted their song rankings and you aggregated them, this would probably be #1.

Will it be mine? We'll see.
Hey, that's my shtick!! ;) Last week I searched the FFA threads to see if any songs have been taken by my upcoming artist.

Fittingly, I am listening to your Part 4 artist as I type.

UFO and The Damned both do really good covers of this. Great tune indeed - so unique, which is what made Love, so to speak.
According to Wikipedia at least 10 covers of this song exist. In addition to those 2 versions another I like is the one Susanna Hoffs & Matthew Sweet did on one of their covers albums.

I felt like I was transported to the age of 17 and I'm hearing some great song from the 60's for the first time on the Reelin' In The Years syndicated radio show on a Saturday morning.

This would have been around '90, so a lot of the songs they played on this show were from the late 60's. So about 25 years. That's like kids listening to a show today about "classic rock" from the year 2000.

1344 . Nazz - Rain Rider

Courtesy @Pip's Invitation in the MAD theme thread. He posted another song, and I was looking through their catalog I came upon this. I felt like I was transported to the age of 17 and I'm hearing some great song from the 60's for the first time on the Reelin' In The Years syndicated radio show on a Saturday morning.
You are probably one of the few people who has listened to Nazz and not picked "Open My Eyes" as their best song.

In addition to Rain RIder, I think their best include:

Back of Your Mind

She's Goin' Down

Under the Ice

Featherbedding Lover

A Beautiful Song (which I picked for the Todd Rundgren producer countdown)

Only One Winner (Stewkey vocal)

Only One Winner (Todd vocal)
