Just browsed SI.com's Ten Fastest Rising Prospects gallery. First off, I absolutely HATE hearing about players' stock 'rising' or 'falling' prior to the draft, and don't always buy into it. Anyways, Steve Smith was listed among the ten. The article states "After running a 4.4 40 at the combine, Smith has shot ahead of teammate Dwayne Jarrett." Come on now, I've heard for a while now the speculation and criticism of Jarrett, but how can anybody argue this point? Does somebody have a valid reason/opinion as to how this could be?
Granted, I believe Smith could turn out to be a better player, but there's no way he gets drafted before Jarrett. Or is there?
