Would be cool if every bag of chips came with a pair of scissors inside, like a cereal prize.Next time I buy a bag of chips I am also buying a new pair of scissors.
Kids, Christmas is January 6th this year. The best time to buy a Christmas tree is between Dec 26 and Jan 2. Tree lots have huge sales during that period.
Does it work while driving?Yep, I use a cover as well.

Ok, I get it now.Turn your defroster on high and put the sunvisors down. It will defrost the entire windshield much faster.
My wife bought somethign similar for me last Christmas. I never even tried it because it doesn't seem like it is going to save much time. Sure, it may save me from scraping, but like I said, I just start the car, go back inside, and come back to a clear windshield. I don't want to stand outside in -15 degree weather folding this thing up and putting it in the trunk or whatever. If the car is covered in snow, this won't save me from having to brush snow off the car.Or buy this for $10
- Keeps windshields clean and ice-free instead of scraping
- Anti-theft locking features
- Universal fit
- Durable, water-resistant nylon material
- Comes with mesh storage bag

Intriguing. Will try this.Turn your defroster on high and put the sunvisors down. It will defrost the entire windshield much faster.
Why not just keep a single ice pop on the freezer door rather than freeze a cup of water and locate a penny? When you go on vacation/evacuation/whatever leave a frozen cup of water (I know it’s ice but I want to differentiate from a cup of ice cubes) with a penny on top in the freezer. When you come home if the penny is inside the ice your fridge lost power long enough for frozen food to thaw and things to go bad.
A genius would know why.Why not just keep a single ice pop on the freezer door rather than freeze a cup of water and locate a penny?
I think this is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled to use an emoticon on here.A genius would know why.
An ice pop that partially thaws and refreezes will not always be obvious. A penny stuck in ice will be.Why not just keep a single ice pop on the freezer door rather than freeze a cup of water and locate a penny?
It's all about the right timing when it comes to holiday stuff. Tomorrow should be a good day to buy flowers & chocolate btw.The best time to buy a Christmas tree is between Dec 26 and Jan 2. Tree lots have huge sales during that period.
Sadly, I just learned this about 6 months ago. Used my teeth before then. This reminds me. On vacation my sister ask me to get the clear plastic off the top of her deodorant. She was pulling and pulling.
I start to turn the bottom to get the deodorant stick to rise. She's like no the top part.
2 turns later the plastic protection false off.
She sat there stunned![]()

Oh. Well.![]()
Me too. Edit to add, I just learned it. Like now. From this post.
Sorry, but I don't believe that for a minute. I think it focuses on one very specific group (sedentary, i.e. out of shape folks) and only a few measurements. No way three 20 second sprints is providing all the health benefits (cardio and muscular) as longer-period training. But yes, it is better than doing nothing. How to get the same result as a 45 minute work out in 10 minutes.
https://www.mensfitness.com/training/cardio/10-minute-cycling-workout-thats-just-effective-50-minute-routine
60 seconds of intense workout cannot make up for 45 minutes. I simply can't believe that. We are talking ONE minute of working out. One. Minute. I'd love to buy in to it, but I just can't. It's just to ludicrous to even remotely equate those two in my mind. Not asking you, or anyone for that matter, to agree with me. It is just my opinion. The point is intensity vs duration.
I can definitely get on board with that.Clearly they both have their benefits because they work differently. I would suggest mixing the two, and not replace one with the other. It is still good info for days when you don’t have enough time for a longer workout.
Safety scissorsI need to cut a bunch of grapes. Any tips up in here?
Cut them with a serrated knife...yeah, that's all I got.I need to cut a bunch of grapes. Any tips up in here?
Do they owe you money or something?I need to cut a bunch of grapes. Any tips up in here?
Something about putting them between two license plates.I need to cut a bunch of grapes. Any tips up in here?
If you are slicing them in half, something similar to what DallasDMac works. I do this with cherry/grape tomatoes. Place them between two flat plastic tops, I use the tops from small (~6") round takeout containers, and slice them at once with a bread knife. Boom!I need to cut a bunch of grapes. Any tips up in here?
Not really a hack, but my wife uses something like this.I need to cut a bunch of grapes. Any tips up in here?
Teeny, tiny guillotine.I need to cut a bunch of grapes. Any tips up in here?
What kind of toys is goodwill refusing to take?Tiger Fan said:Not sure if this counts as a life hack or not, but there's a company called Give Back Box that I use for all donations. Basically take any box you have at your house or get from Amazon and fill it with stuff you no longer need, go to the website, print a free shipping label and schedule USPS to pick it up. Put the box on your front porch and Wa La USPS picks it up and brings it to some central place for the Give Back Box folks to sort and donate accordingly.
It helps a lot b/c we have a lot of toys and stuff that Goodwill wont take.
I keep one box open at all times around the house, helps a lot with decluttering.
The goodwill by my house doesn't take any children's toys or equipment (car seats, etc)What kind of toys is goodwill refusing to take?
They don’t take car seats????The goodwill by my house doesn't take any children's toys or equipment (car seats, etc)
Kids car seats also have a shelf life, and most being donated (particularly those that are multi-stage) are either at or near their end of life. They don’t take car seats????
I guess I get the you don’t know if it’s been cracked or not but pretty sure mine takes them.
I'm shocked if yours takes car seats. The recommendation by virtually every safety group out there is to never use a used car seat because you don't know what kind of stressors it has suffered and whether or not there are microscopic damage to the plastic. They don’t take car seats????

I’m positive they do/did because when we were shopping last summer I suggested looking at them while there and my wife laughed at me and told me you don’t buy those used.I'm shocked if yours takes car seats. Plus the age thing that Bull Dozier mentioned.
up around here they will take them but they throw them out you are not supposed to use a seat that has been in an accident and so on and i think that they do not want that liability take that to the bank brohansThey don’t take car seats????
I guess I get the you don’t know if it’s been cracked or not but pretty sure mine takes them.
I do really get the safety aspect of that, but it does seem like something perpetrated by BIG CARSEAT to keep people buying new seats instead of recycling them.up around here they will take them but they throw them out you are not supposed to use a seat that has been in an accident and so on and i think that they do not want that liability take that to the bank brohans
Ya, my kids safety equipment should be more readily available on the secondhand market. Paying full price is for suckers. Good thing garage sales aren't regulated so I scour those. I just slap some duck tape on the cracks and we're good to go.I do really get the safety aspect of that, but it does seem like something perpetrated by BIG CARSEAT to keep people buying new seats instead of recycling them.
I would have thought slapping duct tape on their cracks would have had the opposite effect.I just slap some duck tape on the cracks and we're good to go.
