Marvin Harrison currently with the record at 143 receptions in a single season.

Michael Thomas is currently at 121 with 3 games remaining. He is currently averaging 9.3 rec/game and needs just over 7/game over the last 3 weeks.  He's only had 2 games all year under 8 catches.

Does he get there?

I think he has a real shot. Not sure if the Saints will actively try and get him the record, but he's just so involved I could see it happening.

Seems like it won't even be difficult for him to get it naturally, nevermind if they actually try to force it towards the end.

Seems like something Brees would work towards if they find themselves with a comfortable lead.

I think barring injury it's extremely likely Thomas gets to set this record.

Brees and the Saints have always went after records if they were in reach.  Unless  Micheal Thomas gets hurt, there is no way the reception record isn’t his.
