This is the week that all us owners realize he is a complete and total waste of roster spot.

Feel free to ride him on bench...really could probably cut him.

Career is over....aka Eddie George and Shawn Alexander when the floor drops out

sjax has been one of the biggest busts I have had the pleasure of drafting in a long time. 5 games less than 200 yards 0 tds. i thought I was getting a consistently productive rb2/rb1. how wrong I was....

I offered S-Jax, with D-Rich, to 7 of the 11 other owners in my league. No takers.

The frustrating thing is that I think he still has the ability to be productive but the Rams O-line still stinks and his division suddenly has 3 very good Ds in it.

I didnt plan on drafting him in my auction but he was one of the last legit RB2s available or so I thought. Wish I had looked closer at the schedule. For the cost of S-Jax I could have gotten McGahee and another productive player or Two.

:wall:

Just read on PFT that the Rams allowed him to void the final year of his contract making him an unrestricted FA at the end of the season. Now is the time to make sure you roster Richardson if its not already too late.

In dynasty and keepers yes but if anything you would think they would run the wheels off Sjax now
Honestly knowing how Fisher rode Eddie George I would have thought we'd already have seen it. I've been surprised we've not seen 25+ carries a game so far each week. Really sheds a ton of light on how they feel about him. I bought in this preseason and boy did I miss.

I took him in the fourth round of a 12 team redraft. .5 ppr. thought I was getting a steal. combined with McFadden, its not too hard to see why I am 0-4 I also have the highest points against by 100 points! thankfully my other money team is 4-0 and a beast. but I digress....

Week 1 Jackson had 25 touches with limited production.Week 2 he starts off strong and had 9 carries mid way through the 2nd quarter before he was robbed of a TD then sat the rest of the game with the groin injury.

Since then he has barely practiced. So I think the lack of touches since week 1 has more to do with the groin and the decent play of Richardson than "how the Rams feel about him."

At the end of the day though it doesnt matter. He's not producing and he and Richardson are both like dead weight on my roster right now.

Can't believe i took him over lynch. Having said that, he's running pretty strong tonight so far. 5ypc.

He is running angry. I like it. SJax has a payday for a heavy load at the end of the season. I'm sure he wants the carries. I think he could be a stash for later in the year. Fisher is clearly keeping him healthy.

He's run hard, but he's slow. May be the injury, but he's had some holes that took him a while to get through. It's striking how much quicker Richardson is.

In a non-ppr where I have Mcfadden on bye and my other RBs are Hillis/Ingram, short bench. I literally had to start SJax and D.Richardson this week. Brutal... but I did get 10 points out of it so far... ugh. Only other RB now is Powell... thought it'd be better to start Richardson than him for this week (Jets play 49ers I think).

Richardson would make a lot of RBs look slow in comparison.
Exactly. Steven Jackson weighs much more than Daryl Richardson (240 to 190 pounds). Even though both have similar mid 4.4 40-times, Jackson has never been known as a speed back. He just accelerates extremely well and hits don't hinder him the way they do a small back like Richardson.

I don't know why anyone would draft this guy.
He was overvalued at the time of the draft, but he has a history of producing and gets a good amount of touches on that offense. The Rams are set to be a defensive team being ranked 14 before tonight's game, and Fischer has been known to run the ball. Those seem like pretty good reasons, no?

Tonight's game was boggling. They struggle to pass the ball in the 1st half but continue to try. They'd then pick up a 1st down and still refuse to run.

Sure, in the end they won the game, but there is literally zero reason to go so unbalanced towards the pass early on especially when they have a solid combo in S-Jax/Richardson.

If STL had a good (or healthy rather) OL, the SJax/Richardson combo could very well be the best tandem in the league.

Honestly the dude looked good today. This game was pretty much just a defensive battle and the Rams actually only completed a baffling 7 passes. At this point I am more concerned with his lack of work in the pass game and relative strength of the conference (who would have thought..).

With the loss of Amendola I can see him getting more work. He ran well in the second half. An occasional TD would be nice!

it was ok. all I keep thinking is through 5 games he has yet to get me 10 points in any game in my league. that's pretty awful

I drafted SJax because Fisher used to believe in running the ball. And in PPR leagues, SJax used to catch a few passes in every game. I wish I did not draft SJax now but last night gave a little hope. When STL committed to running the ball, SJax and Richardson had some success. With no Amendola for the next 6 weeks, Fisher has no choice but to run the ball more.Edited: I thought I read Amendola has a broken collar bone. I just read that it may not be broken. I do not want Amendola owners to panic if I am wrong about the 6 weeks.

I would love it if STL traded him to a team this year that has a good O-line. That would instantly give me 2 starters (SJax and Richardson)!
