Slick owners that try and slide you with the (1 Viewer)

Man it really pisses me off when i offer a deal using the KFFL draft analyzer with the right ammount of keepers, in favor of the other owner most of the time and he comes back at me sayign the Dodds Calculator says he losses bigtime.

We all know Dodds really isnt for dynasty cause it dont calculate keepers and only value picks up to 190. I get this same practice every year in a new startup dynasty draft. Although, if you dont know any better that on you but it kinda pisses me off when a leaguemate of years try this like im some fool or something. :boxing:

Yall get this same practice in yall new leagues as well....

Famous quote is "Dodds says its in your favor"

Looks like both teams are on the rebuild

Why not just use your own knowledge to make a decision, ppl act like what they say is the law or something, you gotta go with your gut sometimes!

You say the trade you offered was in his favor.... why would you make an offer that is not in your favor?

Then teach them a lesson and use their misguided dependencies to their disadvantage. Make a deal that Dodds says is in their favor, but when considering your dynasty calculator, it is considerably in your favor.

Simple enough.

:goodposting: The only thing that I can think of is if it somehow involves players that the OP can not keep anyway and he's trying to deal them for picks or something.

I don't understand why anyone would use something like this. Way to completely take the fun out of fantasy football.

:lmao: @ using a value calculator as the determining factor on whether to make a trade or not. Seems to me that a value calculator is only as good as the projections entered into it, and the values for redraft are significantly different than values for dynasty for many players.

Maybe I'll start even looking at one when someone figures out a way to project with a 60%+ accuracy rate. Until then, I'll use my own judgment & just not deal with people who need someone else to make a decision for them regarding their teams.

My suggestion to you is to find someone else in your league who has comparable value on their teams to what you are looking to gain in the trade & deal with them instead, and only deal with the calculator-impaired owners as a last resort. When the calculator-dependents come whining to you asking why you won't deal, tell them in no uncertain terms.

:goodposting: of course that's just the reason he's giving you...good luck

right up there with starting RB #22 over RB #23 because a weekly cheat sheet ranking says so

Well what i do Pony, is i have a all players slotted in a certian, and then i go and ask myself would i trade let say a low 1st like R.Bush and a guy int he 8th like Dayne/Rivers for 2 low 2nds like 2 of Gates/Boldin/JJ and althought the calculators says its and even deal i much rather have Boldin/Gates over Bush and Dayne... I do like getting into certian positions to get a guy i have slotted in that area though. But thats my method.

Just giving you some examples, Ive seen Bush go from 1.03 to late 2nd round....and dayne as low as 13th and high as 7th. SO i was just giving you an example....

E.KENNISON, M.MUHHAMED, K-ROB

(E.MOULDS, A.Battle, C.Henry, D.Hagans, B.Jones, M.Bradley, P.Crayton)

This is the worst WR lineup I've ever seen in my 6 years of FF.

:tfp:

PS... I do like your "MANIAC" team.

Yeah i agree my wr's are pretty bad, but see where that team came from to what it is now is amazing. So to comment on it without knowing the whole story is just a few guys on here trying to make themselves seem like they know more than the next man.

Here is the same team before all my offseason moves. I like what i got now a helleva lot better than what i had, and can improve on it more as this is a dynasty league im in.

Ramsey, Patrick WAS QB

Schaub, Matt ATL QB

Vick, Michael ATL QB

Volek, Billy TEN QB

Betts, Ladell WAS RB

Cartwright, Rock WAS RB

Davenport, Najeh GBP RB

Dayne, Ron DEN RB

Henry, Travis TEN RB

Payton, Jarrett TEN RB

Peterson, Adrian CHI RB

Rhodes, Dominic IND RB

Shelton, Eric CAR RB

Bradley, Mark CHI WR

Crayton, Patrick DAL WR

Edwards, Braylon CLE WR

Henry, Chris CIN WR

Jones, Brandon TEN WR

Rogers, Charles DET WR

Williams, Mike DET WR

Duke, Wesley DEN TE

Miller, Heath PIT TE

Stevens, Jerramy SEA TE

Bears, Chicago CHI Def

(now that team sucked NO DOUBT) I take this 1 year improvement over that anyday

M.VICK (P.Rivers, J.Cutler, M.Schaub)

C.PORTIS, *REGGIE BUSH* L.WHITE (-C.PERRY, -B.CALHOUN-, C.Cobb, L.Betts, V.Morency,)

E.KENNISON, M.MUHHAMED, K-ROB (E.MOULDS, A.Battle, C.Henry, D.Hagans, B.Jones, M.Bradley, P.Crayton)

J.STEVENS ( D.Clark)

CHICAGO BEARS DEF

(2 future 1st rounders, 2 future 2nds and a future 3rd rounder).

I can add wr's next year and they way i look at it i shored up my rb's this offseason from what they was last year, if my 2 future 1st are in the AP/Lynch range i will grab one of them or i will Snag S.Rice and C.Johnson. Kennison has averaged 11fp/g in 04 and 9fp/g in 05 Mushin can rebound with a qb not named Kyle in there to atleast average 9fp/g and K-Rob or Moulds should atleast do 8fp/g. So there servicable although there not the best dynasty wr's to have....Hey i cant have it all....Im working on it. C.Henry and Hagans and Bradley is some nice youth with alot of upside. I can get a good wr right now for Chris Perry but i am holding him as a dynasty rb....I can see where Calhoun can completely steal the job away from KJ if he falters. Denver runs a rbbc 1a/1b, what happens when 1 of them gets hurt.....C.Cobb is next up then. SO its really like he's #2 on the depth chart. Although i am not saying he will be a stud or anything i can see where his value rises from what it is at right now.

This topic was started for awhole nother reason but since a few of you was so interested in doggin my team, then .......here, here's my history with that dynasty team.

enjoy

Why would you need those calculators to make a trade .

I have been playing FF for 15 years and never needed a calculator to make a trade .

Your judgment, your guts and your knowledge should be enough .

If you have to use this BS to mak a trade maybe you dont have the above.

Pick calculators are a tool, not a solution.

They can help people place values, objectively, on items available for trade.

Just like FF info, what you choose to do with that info is up to the user.

You did well to upgrade your RBs into the future. Now you need to work on your WRs.

:hophead:

I can't for the life of me figure out how you added those QB's and Portis with the rest of the team you had. You must have killed some people in trade.

I know huh, I say the same thing and that was with a bad trade or 2 with all of it, I probaly took some major steps back in some of my deals but i has 8 Future 1st round picks.....I think i had 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 IIRC but i guess some guys right after the season wants something new and shiney....I had gotten JJ/MBIII for 1.05 and 1.10 I got Portis for 1.06 and 1.08 and Henry Shelton and some other JUNK but this was right after the superbowl, so most guys were upset and wanted to make some moves.....I took a few steps back But i got what looks to be no lower than the 1.03 rookie pick next year which could easily be the top rookie AP next year from one of those guys. And my 1st will be a middle or even higher 1st too, so i have made alot of deals now to get me a shot at AP or Lynch. Oh and i definitely wanna use my 1st to land Rice or C.Johnson
