Snelling joins practice squad

The Falcons filled the final spot on the practice squad by signing running back Jason Snelling, the team's seventh-round draft pick.

"We wanted to get Jason back here if we could," Petrino said. "So we now have a decision with him to make. Which way do we really want to go? What is he going to end up being? Does he put some more weight on and be more of a physical pass-receiving fullback or continue to be a tailback? It's something we've discussed with him and feel like we have some time to make that decision."

He was a fullback in college until his senior season when Groh had to play him at tailback. He is a slow tailback but could be a fairly quick fullback with good pass receiving skills and matchup nightmare against many LB.
