Really? I thought he was pretty mainstream by now.Looking forward to him on SNL. I picture him making the cast work a little to keep up. Hopefully it's funny.

More versatile than i thought he'd be. And club-kid Stefon is behind only Craig Ferguson's foul-mouthed bunny as the funniest thing on TV.

I agree. Although I seem to recall a good host appearing about a month ago, and the first sketch was that dreadful Kenan Thompson doing "What's Up With That?" I mean, if this is your strongest material, that doesn't say much.

Sudekis (sic) comes across as a good guy, but he's not funny. His impressions are terrible, especially his Bill O'Reilly one last week, if there was no O'Reilly Factor graphic on the screen theres no way in hell you'd know who he's trying to impersonate.

big fan, other than the fact that Heder can't get through one joke without giggling hysterically.It's funny every once in a while when guys on SNL break character, but he's setting a new standard for Fallonesque unprofessional-ism.

From what I can tell he only breaks character when playing Stefon and not during normal sketches. And I remember seeing Hader on Letterman a while ago explain why he always broke character while playing Stefon. It`s due to a combination of last-second changes to script, Seth Meyer egging him on, the cue card guy shaking in laughter, and the obvious ridiculousness of what is being said. When I think about it, pretty well all breaking of character on SNL, since Fallon left anyway, occurs during the Weekend Update segments. So I think Seth Meyer egging these people on probably plays a pretty big factor whenever it happens.

The first 2-3 times, Stefon was hysterical. Definitely the best character in years. The shtick's getting a little stale though, and he's clearly just cracking up on purpose because he knows that was originally part of what made it so funny.

I think alot of the guys on the show would be really funny if the writing and sketches were better. Hader rarely cracks up during sketches and is pretty funny. Jason S is good. The new black dude,Jay something, does awesome impressions. Weekend update still has it's moments. Kristen Wiig is played out, overused, I'm really tired of her. The same faces and really the exact same few characters for every single skit. No matter if it's a new thing or one of the re-occuring ones.

Abby Elliot and the middle eastern chick, maybe Nasin or something. I would get naked with both of them. Funny chicks? Not so much

Many people find the resulting mania tiring & irritating 2) Since Poehler left, Wiig has been the female lead in the highest % of skits in the history of the show and the weak writing has caused them to repeat some of her characters far past the time they've served any comic purpose. I mean, the upswomanship character was played 3 yrs ago & Gilly, halfway thru the initial sketch, yet we see them over & over. This has rendered an actress as good as any SNL has had (cept maybe Radner & Poehler) into a symbol of how bad the show has become.

It's much better to have strong supporters and haters than to have a group of folk who just don't give a damn. I love Wiig, enjoy a few of the others, but for the most part I simply don't care about the comedians. The local improv groups have folk who put these guys to shame.
