Snorkelguys - Recommended Gear? (1 Viewer)

Anyone into snorkeling that would care to recommend some good travel gear?  I have a couple full face masks that I think are OK but I'm looking for good travel fins.  I have no idea what to look for.

If you've already got decent snorkel gear, just buy the short fins.

By no means a snorkeling expert but quite the novice.   But recently went to Hawaii and everyone was recommending not to use the full face mask as you "can" end up getting too much CO2 buildup if not properly designed. I guess the thought is better safe than sorry.

Thanks.  I've seeing that as I poke around.  There are some that are tested for it but not the ones I have.  I'm leaning towards replacing those.

I love to snorkel and spent a week in Mexico last month snorkeling in the Baja peninsula. But I only have a $26 set from Amazon, and I don't even like the adjustable fins much. I'll probably get a set of fitted rubber fins before my next trip.

just buy the short fins.

I agree with this. Get something small that packs easy if you're just doing some recreational snorkeling.
