I've liked the ESPN pregame show the last couple of years, and I still say they are MUCH better than FOX or CBS. I think Tom Jackson, Emmit Smith, and even MeShawn did a good job this week. Very entertaining IMO. :(

I like the ESPN show too.... but I can only tolerate so many of the fluff pieces. I usually switch to network coverage, and flip between them, at noon.

I'm with this guy. They are all worthless. A 15 minute Mike Vick countdown. A feature on Peyton and Eli. How RayRay will be = to God Almighty again this year. BlahBlahBlah.Give me 2 hours of substance. Just go matchup to matchup and hit the main points of each game. Give them all equal time, too.

I can't stand pre-game shows. I don't care how many cats Donovan McNabb's mother has. I don't care what "nugget" of comedy Frank Caliendo has for us today. And I don't care what unqualified former NFL Player A's opinion of Brady Quinn is, even if he shout his opinion over and over while former unqualified NFL Player B shakes his head and says "uh uh".On a related note...thanks to the FBG guys who do watch that crap and report the 4 minutes of actual news that is reported during those shows here.

I had ESPN on with volume. (The others muted.) I must say it was MUCH better without Irvin. I lost it during the Mayne event. That and Mort's reports are the Mayne reasons I keep in tune with the ESPN show.

I did also switch to Fox when Caliendo came on. That is usually entertaining. It really should be this week as Frank will be doing some Jim Rome impressions. And, he usually finds a way to insult the ###### Rome when he does that impression.
