I have heard the Vjax to Patriots rumors but why exactly would AJ want to help one of his teams biggest rivals? At the very least his asking price for Jackson would have to go higher dont you think?

I am very skeptical of the VJax to NE rumor. First, it makes no sense for SD to trade him to a conference rival when they could have traded him to MN or SEA. Second, it is hard for me to believe Bellicheck would give more than the Vikings had offered.

I do think there will be a lot more rumors as the trade deadline approaches, and the pressure is on SD to do something and get something in return before it is too late. But I still think there is a high likelihood that Jackson does not see the field this year.

Vincent Jackson is not coming to the Patriots...Here is why

1/ They would never guarantee the 30 million he is looking for. The Patriots are too fiscally responsible for that.

2/ They would not part with the #2 and #3 draft picks SD is looking for.

3/ If they wanted that kind of wr they would have kept Moss who even at this period in his career is a better wr than Jackson and it wouldn't have cost them a thing

4/ The Patriots are trying to get back to the team first attitude they had in their glory days. Why would they deal for another head case?
