Because he probably walks next season and they get nothing for him? They hardly play the guy as it is and have him sitting on the bench with the game on the line and thier 3rd string RB in the game taking handoffs from inside the 5.

Somehow these guys retain coaching gigs too. If I was the GM, that would happen once with a stern warning. Davidson wouldn't be OC week 3.

After the Panther and Packer games this weekend it is starting to make more sense as the season moves along.

Panthers have gone to a youth movement and are going nowhere this season. Why hang on to a RB involved in a 3 way time share RBBC that is walking at the end of the year. The Packers threw, threw, and threw some more last night and still lost the game.

"If" the Packers could work out a long term deal with D. Will then make this move now. Trade a 2nd plus a young prospect or a 1st for Williams.
