Some News on Boldin (1 Viewer)

Heard this on Sirius NFL Radio.

Paraphrasing, but basically Boldin will give it a go and play on the toe injury. He may need off-season surgery, but there's no way to know unless he tests it. Whiz said that they need him, so they're going to have him test it and play.

It sounded a little better than I'm saying here, but Boldin will play on Sunday. Whether he lasts or is effective, that's debatable - but if you really need WR help and have Boldin, this might give you some more insight on a tough call.

Good luck.

Thanks Jeff.....also found this.

Anquan Boldin-WR- Cardinals Dec. 15 - 12:38 pm et

If Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald play on Sunday, they will play fewer snaps than usual in a receiver rotation.

Both receivers are game-time decisions. While the "rotation" sounds bad, the Cardinals go three wide often and are playing the Saints. There should be enough opportunities to produce for both players in a great matchup.

I have Boldin and I don`t see him finishing the game. I fear he will explode off the line and the toe will explode again as well. Just can`t take the chance.

Exactly how I felt.I couldn't take the chance and had to play Henry vs. SF.

He only had one catch but he made it count.Kind of a tough spot for them to be in. They need him if they want to make the playoffs more than a token appearance so they don't want him to aggravate it too much, but they won't be in the playoffs if they don't have him now. It's a big game for the Cards, to see what the team is made of in Whiz' first year. I could see them taking a huge step back from their potential next year if they blow it this year and lose Grimm to an HC job next year.
