That thread is hilarious.

But I've just got to say that if you put a very athletic, 6'2", 225 lb. guy in an alley with a 125 lb. guy, even if he is a professional boxer, the 125 lb. guy probably doesn't come out alive. All I keep seeing in my head is that small dude's head getting drubbed into the pavement after an ankle dive.

Just dive for the hips and ankles and then slam his head into the concrete over and over.

You're dangerous to yourself if you really think like this... I've got a good buddy who runs an MMA studio. He is 5'6 or 7ish and weighs 140. Strong like an ox, literally benches 3x his weight and took a brief run fighting pro. I'm a pretty muscular 6'2 215, I work out 5x a week, and have been in quite a few fights in my life. I wouldn't want to get into a fight for one second with my friend who I outweigh by 75 lbs and have 7 or 8 inches on. I'd imagine anyone who trains to fight professionally whether it be boxing, MMA, etc would work me over.

Check the date, I stand by this in my prime. Your buddy falls well outside the claim, read the thread if you like. I have yet to see a man this size in real life, making the claim all but obvious imo. :shrug:

I did not even realize I had anyone on ignore until I checked.....TexasFan2 was the only one listed and he has been banned. I think I need to add an active poster and there is one leading candidate right now.

There are many posts that I skim over because I just know they bring no value. I have discerned a trend that lots of the same people make these posts that I don't read. so, instead of ignoring them as I read, I just started ignoring them altogether. Pretty simple, really.

The litmus test I use is if you start discussing US politics in a non-political thread, I'm adding you to ignore. Occasionally I will click on the" view it anyway" link to see if I should un-ignore, but I usually regret that decision.

no worries, you aren't on the list. I don't read every thread, and generally only ignore the overt.

IMO, discussing politics is more than fair in, say, Obamacare thread. What really turned me off was the guys arguing about what Obama did or didn't do on the day of or immediately after Benghazi, Sandy Hook, UIkraine, etc. Folks arguing about politics when the news is still fresh really irks me - it reads to me like the politics is all that's important.

eta: I think it was drummer vs mad sweeney constantly bickering that made me see value in the ignore feature.
