Songs that make you feel relaxed? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking for songs similar to Prince's Purple Rain and Pink Floyd's Shine on you Crazy Diamond.

Any suggestions?

Sticking with Pink Floyd, Comfortably Numb always works for me.

Elton John - Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters, Your Song, and Levon are my go to trio after a rough day at work.

I know not what the OP is looking for and just a snippet not a full song... but because I've been playing Fallout 4 recently I have to add... the violin solo from Scheherazade. So beautiful I nearly have to stop playing the game for a moment when it comes on over the Pip Boy radio.

But then Super Mutants don't wait for violins...  :ninja:

Pale Blue Eyes- Velvet Underground

Into My Arms- Nick Cave and the bad seeds

Bird On a Wire- Leonard Cohen

Lovin' in my Baby's Eyes- Taj Mahal

In Dreams- Roy Orbison

Love is all Around - The Troggs

Some songs that I find relaxing

Depeche Mode-Precious

Dirty Heads- Stand tall

Dirty Heads- Lay me down

Red Hot Chili Peppers- Snow (this song just makes me want to sip a Margarita).

Way too many to list, but here's a few that come to mind

Grateful Dead - Ripple, Box of Rain, Black Muddy River, Brokedown Palace

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here, On the Turning Away

Bob Segar - Turn the Page

Beatles - Yesterday, Hey Jude, Let it Be

Bob Dylan - When I Paint My Masterpiece, I Shall Be Released, Percy's Song, Positively 4th Street

Cat Stevens - Moonshadow, Where do the Children Play?

Neil Young - After the Gold Rush

Harry Chapin - Taxi

Simon And Garfunkel - Sounds of Silence

Hey Jude is relaxed until the end.  Not sure l could fall asleep to that one.

I would add that any song by the band Bread is sure to not only make you feel relaxed, but will also emasculate you..

This is my wheel house...

On the techno side, look for Naked Music

One artist that partnered with them in the 90's was Aya

Going back to the 60's - my sleep music is some Brazilian Bossa Nova Jazz Antonio Carlos Jobim Wave album

Songs - I get a lot of mileage from Southern California Latin Soul such as:

Suavecito by Malo

Together by Tierra

Still a young man by Tower of Power

Check out the songs listed under Art Laboe's "Dedicated to you" series

You can't go wrong with some Philly soul either:  Al Green, Billy Stewart, Delfonics, or Spinners

Other random chill songs:

Todd Rundgren - Hello, It's me

10cc - I'm not in love

Billy Paul - Me and Mrs. Jones

Temptations - Night and Day

Jefferson Starship - Runaway and Miracles

And maybe the saddest song ever written - This Woman's Work by Kate Bush
