Songs that remind you of women you've known (1 Viewer)

Remind you of women you've known. You know you're riding in the car and a song comes on that for whatever reason your memory associates with a girl or woman you knew.

For example:

Night Moves

This song always conjures up the image of a girl I was with off and on through high school. She was a dark haired beauty with big dark eyes and points of her own way up firm and high. I however was not too tall. She was really something. And even the end of the song where it gets kind of melancholy as she died much too young.

Or Everybody Wants You

Always makes me think of a lovely blond woman I was with in the Air Force. She was all that. Smart, sexy and hot. Everyone did want her but I got her.

And lastly one for my favorite dancer - Back to Bob for Her Strut. She was not big up top but she had great legs and an incredible butt. Both of which she used well on stage.

So what you got?

Lots of views no replies. My reputation as a thread killer continues, even for my own. I figure one bump to see if the weekday crew has any interest if not I'll let it die.

This one always reminds me of the only woman, other than my wife, I ever considered for marriage. I was in love with her and her beautiful baby girl.

Dated a chick in college that was really into the Stones. I never listened to the Stones before that and still do not even like them. I think of her whenever I hear a Stones tune.

Rocket Queen reminds me of another girl I dated in college. She loved that song. Played it constantly.

Seems like this could go on for awhile.

Melt with You by Modern English. Although the song was from the early 80s it came on when I was getting to know this girl that I had a thing with for a little bit at the beach in the summer of 1989 when I was 17. That was a great week.

I would think the associations would be the strongest for that time for most people.

I was hoping it might be a nice thread to take a break from all the bad news and bickering in. So if it lasts for a while all the better.

Don't Think Twice it's Alright - Dylan or Arlo Guthrie, or Peter Paul and Mary version

She Talks to Angel's - Black Crowes

Queen Jane - Grateful Dead

What about the Past - Doug Metheny

Working for Rosie - Lamont Cranston Band

The Thrill is gone - BB King

Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident) by John Michael Montgomery

Dated this tall, blond haired, blue eyed girl in high school. She was smoking hot and way out of my league. At least my friends constantly told me so. She loved country music (I didn't) and was horribly racist, but damn was she hot. It lasted 6 months.

I used to feel that if I heard one more girl say Brown eyed girl "that's my song", I would kill someone.

Got to say it was pretty smart writing a song that covers most of the population. I bet Van Morrison got laid a lot with that song.

Boys of Summer- Don Henley

When I was 16/17 I worked at an amusement park for a couple of summers and would often hang out 'til close after my shift. Hooked up a few times with various random cuties. We would find someplace off the beaten path down by the lake after nightfall and proceed to do what came natural. It was a great experience and one I look back on both wistfully and fondly whenever I hear Boys of Summer.

Only the Good Die Young- Catholic girl that I was in love with in HS, but she was in to college guys.

Kate- Another young lady I was obsessed with, who wouldn't give me the time of day. (Her name wasn't Kate, but the the song reminded me of her personality)

"Sister Golden Hair" by America playing on the radio when I lost my virginity; The girl was a brunette. <_<
Well it doesn't have to be a perfect match lyrically
The real issue was that I wanted her hot, blonde sister, but one of my friends beat me to her. I 'settled' for the brunette because I heard she was easy. And she was, though she ended up dumping me for a guy that looked like her brother.

I can't think of my ex without Megadeth's When. Most specifically:

I've walked a minefield for you
A career in hell with you
I have made it through the things
Others would surely die just watching
And the oath I take on this day
Is to know that you will be repaid
One day the the sun will die and the night will crawl
Until then, until I see your world implode
I wish you death and suffering
Misery to spare
Time to rehearse your pain
Face the last enemy
I am the last thing you will know
The last thing you will see
I see your death surrounding me
I know you, yes I do
I know you

Sounds kind of harsh on paper, but she's earned it.

Ordinary Love by Sade.

This song was playing when a stripper who I swear was Jessica Alba's twin sister came out on stage at Kama Sutra in Montreal. Amazing song that gives me the jumpy and quo every time I hear it.

Gwen Stefani The Sweet Escape always makes me think of a Mexican strip club where I must have heard it 50 times in one night
