Soooooooooooooooooooooooo (4 Viewers)

I lost a cousin to Hodgkin's Lymphoma when he as 28. He and I would get along great at family get-togethers but that was the only time we'd see each other, so in a way it was easy getting along with him. However, we sort of connected just before he went into hospice care and  I saw him through to the end. I like to think I learned a lesson during that time, about what is really important and what isn't. Sometimes I forget that life is short; your post is a reminder of that, so thanks for opening up that part of your life to us.

I don't think we've ever interacted directly before, so all I can say is keep not going gentle into that good night. Whenever I've seen your posts, I've thought of Dale from King of the Hill because of your avatar, and instantly read your posts in his voice with his persona, and it usually brought a smite to my face and/or elicited the responses I think you were looking for. Keep being a positive element of this board as long as you can, and I look forward to meeting you in the FBG corner of the next life.

Thanks for being here and being real.

took me a minute to put 2 and 2 together. do you think this a result of the hazardous waste issue?
Definitely. The Siteman specialist sees patients at an office in my old hood a couple of days a week so many cases keep popping up.  I wish the government would commit the billions to clean it up.  Too many friends and family of mine have gotten cancer at an extremely young age

I don't know you too well Bob, other that always remembering your avatar when I see it, and of course for you starting the best thread ever on the FFA (Stock Thread, of course). If it means anything to you, I'm pulling for you and you will be in my prayers.

Just saw this thread.  Man I just can’t believe this.  I don’t know you in real life but I know that you’re one of the most respected posters on this site.  #### cancer - you’re beating this ####.

Don't let some :nerd:  cut in on your rights here.  Absolutely claim the naming rights!

Naming a cancer (and we can help, oh yes we can) after you've kicked it's ### would be the most awesome thing in FFA history.

My wife and kids keep boucingin between anger and denial.  The rest is  destroyed.  I hate that I'm doing this to them.
If I know one thing about you from all these years is how much of a coach, a father and a rock you have been for your family. When I need patience with a kid I think about how hard you worked with yours.

Don’t be afraid to ask for support when you need it. All the best! Kick some ###.

Just think, some day you may make someone either very happy or very sad. If someone else gets this cancer, depending on how things turn out for you, they’re going to be told it’s either 100% fatal or has a 100% survival rate.

Praying for the best. Your fierce love and fight for your kids has inspired me so many times in dealing with my daughter with special needs. Your life is clearly a light to many.

I just stumbled onto this. Eff Cancer for reals, but if anybody can kick this thing's ###, my money is on SLB. You are the FBG forums, so no pressure or anything, but get well soon.

They removed a neuroendecrine tumor on the left side of my neck.  It has effected my eye on the same time.  They know it's malignant but don't know what exactly it is which has prevented treatment.  I'm getting a dotatate scan on Tuesday and seeing yet another surgeon.  On Wednesday I'm having a port put in so they can start chemo, if needed, immediately.

Thank you for the kind words my brother.
Good luck with the dotatadotdot scan today whatever that is

Crazy, this keep crossing my mind and just another reason to keep fighting hard.

What was the name for the moon that the FFA came up with back in the day?  Something about Sun-Son?  Get yer notebook, folks, cuz the search function is crap.

We have not interacted much but I have always enjoyed the few brief conversations we have had. That said, you have always been one of the genuine good guys around here. Now go kick Cancer's A$$ and tell them to go find an ####### from another message board instead.

Can we tie an idiotic activity into becoming the SLB challenge in the hideous "viral" world?  Instead of randomly pouring water over your head, maybe eat 5 mcribs?  20 white castles?  smoking an entire pack of cigarettes at once?

Shave your head, walk 10 miles in 1 hour wearing a cat shirt, and share pictures of the interesting things (and attractive women who NEED a picture with you) you encounter along the route seems appropriate.

Link to said cat shirt please - I'm trying to recall, but jut can't picture it.

#### you cancer

Writing a paragraph without a misspelled word or run on sentence?

That's it but mine is dark blue.  I think Tanner and I started a thread a while back of pics. Mine is nowhere near complete. Plus that whole pandemic thing took a precious peacocking year from me.

Ladies love that shirt. Plenty of witnesses here that can verify.
How'd it go with the radioactive turn into spider thing?

Honestly, kind of sucked. Felt like I was going to puke immediately after the tracer was injected.  Didn't feel like that after the original PET.  With this kind scan of course you can't move but had the bonus of having to completely stretch my arms over my head the entire 45 minutes or so.  It doesn't sound like a big deal but towards the end I thought my armpits might rip in half. lol

Yikes...that sounds brutal. Sorry, gb.

Have you gotten Spidey-powers yet?
