Nice pick.2.54 Chicago Bears select...
Kendall Fuller, CB, Va Tech
Nice pick.
He was the last "borderline 1st-rounder" left on my board (based on talent, not on need). There are a handful of other guys who might go on Thursday based on positional scarcity, but I'm not sure any of them deserve the label. Thanks, but I was done for the night.I open to offers for pick 54 if you or another team wanted to move up stbugs
Your next pick is at 62?
No worries I like the deal I got. Thanks, but I was done for the night.
Cool. I might be interested in that. I need to get through this pick first though! One more potential guy gone. :(No worries I like the deal I got.
Sent you a new one to ponder over.
Very surprising with the WR talent on the board at both picks that were rated as high as the defensive picks.Bengals look like they aren't too impressed with some of their defensive players from the end of the season.
Surprised on the LBs, 3 really solid guys (not including Jones just taken) sitting around. Also, really surprised Henry/Cook/Thomas are still available. I don't think those three last this long (one or more will slip into the 3rd here) in the real draft.5 WRs taken in the top 53, I think?
And 10 interior defensive linemen. Not counting the edge guys.
3 true LB taken in top 17, only 1 (Cravens) since.
1 RB
3 QB
3 interior OL
There will be especially now. I'd have to go back (and I did) and I see 3 WRs picked in round 2 of your mock that may slip to round 3. One of them was pick 32.I think there is a LOT of WR talent available in rounds 3+.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was very few WRs taken in the 3rd after a run in the 2nd, and then another run on WR in the 4th. A lot of defensive talent could fall to the 3rd, and the 2nd and 3rd is where I see a lot of O-linemen and QBs taken, which could push other players..I think there is a LOT of WR talent available in rounds 3+.
Yep, hold that thought, Saber! What happened to the Seahawks pick?
I like it. Even with Lacy on the P90X or whatever it is called, that doesn't mean it will translate into a better RB. Honestly, a small Lacy isn't the guy we loved before last year. He doesn't need to be Nate Newton's size, but he isn't a spark plug type of RB, so I am not sure if his new body type means he will be a better RB.Lacy looked like crap last season, they have Starks who is what he is. They showed last season that they simply could not do enough on offense. I wanted a WR but in all honesty it's BPA for me.
There are a lot of LBs left I thought might be gone, so I agree on Scooby. He's actually 127 on a list I grabbed to have a draft list (it makes it easier to know who the heck is gone and still around).Want to but can't. Pats have needs everywhere and I'll be neglecting some of them since they only have 4 picks before the 6th.
Have the depth now to not go rb or wr but there is too much talent left to kick the can.
I feel more comfortable not taking Scooby in the 2nd now that there is only a couple LBs off the board and I've been seeing him rated outside the top 100. Cravens was the guy I wanted but it's not looking like he will make it to the 60 ever.
I like the pick. Gotta go BPA. As you said, one bad test and all of a sudden that positional strength becomes a weakness behind Brown. Wheaton isn't special, so if Bryant is out, which is a distinct possibility, Brown is all alone. With the 58th overall pick, the Steelers select: Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio St.
He was the BPA that wasn't a CB since we went CB in the first. Pundits are all over the place on him, either he's amazing and pro-ready, or he's vastly overrated, not much middle ground. Well after watching some of his tape (not highlight reels) I think that he was definitely underutilized at O St. and could transition to be a great NFL player.
The Steelers don't have a definite need at WR at the moment, but this is where their forward thinking pays off. It takes a while for a WR to get up to speed and build a rapport with Big Ben. Next season if Bryant screws up again, we could be left with Antonio Brown, Sammie Coates, and Darius HeyBey-Bey. Coates is still unproven, and HeyBey-Bey likes to drop passes.
While he still needs to work on his hands and catching the ball away from his body, his measureables are where he is often dinged by "sources." I'm not sure why that is since he has similar results to Hopkins and Antonio Brown...
1.25 - William Jackson III, CB, Houston
2.58 - Michael Thomas, WR, Ohio St.
Did he write the pick in invisible ink? I don't know who he took. Could someone update the board? I'm filling in for Soufly and am trying to get caught up on who is available.Good pick Saber.
Now I finally have a reason to not like Booker.
OK, now I'm starting to get caught up.He took booker. But he skipped SEA, so deleted it, so Spider321 wouldn't snake his pick.
1st post up to date.
As a Steelers fan, I hope they don't hire you.2.54 The Cincinnati Bengals select Deion Jones, LB, LSU
I was very disappointed to see Shepherd and Boyd go off the board just before my pick. That said, I'm excited to add an ascending, elite talent like Jones to this LB corp considering the age and insanity of the current group. Build the defense.
1.24 Vernon Butler, DT
2.54 Deion Jones, LB
Oh. I get it. Didn't read closely enough. As in - both his picks were very good. I think.
Correct. They are picks that fit the team very well and while may not match others' rankings, they are players I think are very underrated and would make a very good defense nasty. As in - both his picks were very good. I think.
Is he going to be gone for a while? Run It Up, Andy and I are here, so we could bust through the 4 after that and get to the 3rd.
I don't see DEs as being BPAs now, but Austin Johnson is top 5 BPA (CBS list) at DT and Cook is actually the top guy outside of Henry in terms of BPA.Chiefs are also losing a DE and could lose NT next year if Poe leaves.
Could also use Cook...
Hey, you've been hounding me since the start, so I had to do a deal with you.The Vikings have made another trade.
The Carolina Panthers trade

Thanks man, in the last one drafting for the Giants I had a Giants fan hoping I was Jerry Reese when I netted them a haul by trading down a couple times. As a Steelers fan, I hope they don't hire you.
Trade processed. The Vikings have made another trade.

Bracie taking over for CLE for the moment. Is @Soulfly3 checking in?
If KC doesn't go QB I think a logical move here for the Browns (yeah, I know, LOL "logic" and "Browns") would be to offer #77 and #100 to NE for #61.
Fills an NE gap in the mid-rounds and gets CLE something resembling a QB of the future.
thoughts?
