We know a lot of our community plays in these high stakes events.

We asked the owners of these contests the same 38 questions to help you get up to speed to what they are offering this year. The link contains their responses:

Spotlight On: High Stakes Contests

Enjoy.

I see Rotobowl has a draft in Baltimore this year. Might be fun to do one of these at least once. Has anyone played in this one before?

As Greg Marmelard would say, "They are each outstanding in their own way"

Are FBG staffers allowed to compete in these contests? Just curious.

Yes we are - why wouldn't we?We don't hold a stake in these contests.I know that several of the staff have done WCOFF, NFFC and I've done Rotobowl. I'm looking at all of them with interest this year. In general I'm a fan of bigger contests as they are all interesting.

Where's AFFL?
I know you meant that to be funny...........BUT hopefully the AFFL players can follow one of the unpaid winners from last year who started the FFPC to give the online drafters a chance to play in a much better event.
Good point Captain. I hope that the AFFL debacle doesn't taint people's view of the entire high stakes field. There are good companies out there that can be trusted to make good on what they promise. This feature was a nice way of looking at many of them.

Oh, really? When was the last time a FBG staffer competed in WCOFF? You guys don't have the guts to compete in a public contest like that.Reminds me of the old saying. Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.

I like what I've seen from the FFPC so far.
agreed...this appears to be the best bang for your buck
I concur. The FFPC is definitely getting some, if not the majority, of my fantasy football dollars this year.I've done WCOFF since it's inception. It's a great event which I think they have only improved on the past few years. That being said, because I have other attractive options, I might have to pass on WCOFF this year simply due to one issue and that is a short 11 week regular season with only 2 teams making the playoffs. This one issue is so huge to me because of the cost of WCOFF and trip costs and the chance to feel like you are out of it after just a few weeks if you start slowly. I'd recommend if you are looking for one of these leagues to participate in to examine factors over and above the prize structure to see what league works best for you.
