I don't know if anyone is familiar with Square Trade warranty service but if you use Amazon to buy electronics you've probably seen the product before. I bought a 3 year warranty for $75 when I purchased a projector about 18 months ago. The projector stopped working recently and after about 2 weeks of dealing with Square Trade, they gave me an Amazon gift card (my choice) for the full purchase price of the projector. They were pretty easy and friendly to deal with, kept me updated with emails and on their website. Their customer service office must be out of some Eastern European country but as long as you can deal with the heavy accent, it was all good.

Just a psa that I'm very satisfied with this 3rd party warranty company.

I've dealt with them as well. My son bought a PS4 after saving for over a year. They offered a two year warranty on top of the year that Sony offered so I paid for it. About 14 months in, the thing crapped out completely. We had a gift card for the cost of the machine within 7 days, no fuss, no muss.
