Just imagine how bad the thumping would have been had the MB not got all the better draft slots. LHUCKS only saved by another MB low score. I smell SWEEP coming.

3 comments:1) Wondering which staff member would have not taken Alexander 3rd overall. Since beyond his 3rd round pick, more is up to personal choice than draft slot, and Harrison/Chambers did around where expected.2) This seems about like the first week or two's results from last year - how'd that turn out for you?3) :blackdot: Long way to go here.BTW props to Chase - QBBC and multiple RBBCs look like they worked out. For now anyway.

Well, maybe yall were right about my team after all. Oddly, though, it wasn't the lack of WR depth or the bye week issues (the most common criticisms I've heard) that did me in. Instead, it was a bad week from almost all of my top tier folks (52 yards from Shaun Alexander, 1 TD among my top six draft picks combined).

A couple fewer gambles (Curtis, Staley, Rogers) in the later rounds might have helped a little, but the other players I was thinking about there (Mark Clayton, Philip Rivers/Greg Jones, Marcus Robinsion) wouldn't have helped much.

Taking Elam early (vs. my top WR at the time, Arnaz Battle) didn't cost me either.

Anyway, good luck to the rest of the MB crew. LHUCKS, count yourself lucky that I had as bad a draft as you thought I did, since otherwise you're on the chopping block yourself...

Sorry to see you go, abrecher. Tough break with Alexander there. With Harrison, Rod Smith and Chambers, you could have caused lots of trouble later on. Best of luck in the rest of your leagues.

WOW! I can't believe this team is out. Sorry that happened. It'll be interesting to see the YTD points of this team compared to the rest of the league. Could be a top 3-4 team out in week 1. That's survivor for you. :wall:

I noticed this was done for Leg 1 but can this/could this be done for Leg 2?

Abrecher was supposed to be the week one high scorer. Bass, Shick, and Wimer all who finished in the top six were supposed to be on life support this week.

Meh. Who needs Steve Smith? I can just rely on counting two TEs each week.

I need Portis back to 100 percent...when you draft in the beginning of the first round you need that first player to show up more weeks than not.
Code:

My top four guys of Clayton/Kennison/Mason/Galloway need to perform or this team is done. I have faith in Mason and Galloway, not so sure about Kennison with Green out. Wilson will hopefully bounce back with Roethlisberger back shortly. Reggie Williams proving the value of a sixth WR.

Big game by Baltmore saved my ###.Overall I'd be surprised if I have a lower scoring week out of my WRs and QBs in a non bye week.

This is a great example of how the little things like drafting solid kickers, a quality #6 WR and solid defenses can make the difference.

Bet they score 0 pts for you this week. Will be interesting to see how it works for you with only 1 possible RB score on your team, so a guaranteed zero in the end. Eli-Plax could carry you through again.Got immunity at the right time, considering where I felt I would be after the draft, and Dodd's concurrence with the simulation (bad Week 3). Of course, Moss has yet to be used in my scoring, so the hit might not be as bad as I thought.Possibility going forward for 5 starting RBs. Hopefully Moss gets on track and Housyodaddy gets on the field, which gives me decent WR options. LT, Toomer, Coles, and Des Clark.

Just wanted to say thanks again for keeping me around with only one RB scoring for my Squad this week! The huge 8 points from Fred Taylor was my entire rushing attack. Plax was worthless as well.So this week, my top three draft picks scored a total of 3.3 points. Seriously, thanks for just keeping me around. I should have been out well before now. Also wanted to thank Clayton for his kind words from the commentary:
Worst pick - Wes Welker doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.
Welker, by himself, is what kept me alive this week, and has scored 10.7, 9.1, and 10.9 in the last three weeks.
