Stafford a Top 3 QB this year? (1 Viewer)

What say you?

Matthew Stafford completed 24-of-33 passes for 305 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's win over the Bucs.

The scary part is that it could have been much better. Stafford had 265 yards and two touchdowns in the first half before the Lions dialed back their aggression to nurse a lead. He also had some ugly drops -- including one by Will Heller that led to the interception. Stafford also dealt with some cramping in his leg, causing a limp for much of the fourth quarter. The bottom line is that today did nothing to change our belief that health permitting, Stafford will be a top-3 fantasy quarterback this season.

Talent- check

System- check

Weapons- check

I think he has a good chance

And I know a bunch of replys will be

Injuries- no check

Time will tell

Top 3 is aggressive IMO (It's going to be rough to unseat Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Rivers), it's not out of the question but not likely either. I would say, health permitting, he's easily in the top 10 and making a real strong push for top 5.

Totally agree with you.As a full disclosure he's my QB along with Big Ben.

They could definitely be in some shootouts - their DLine makes it tough to run on them (as we saw with the Bucs today) and their secondary is not exactly the Eagles if you know what I mean...

He's got the weapons too - definitely a solid choice as a FANTASY quarterback if he stays healthy. I've got him in one of my 3 big leagues. Gonna stick him in there most weeks.

I would think that most people would agree that Aaron Rodgers was ridiculous this week. In my league he scored 30.

Meanwhile Stafford scored 28.
