Stafford to Best (1 Viewer)

Looking at the play log for the Dallas-Detroit game last night and I was surprised at the high number of incompletions between Stafford and Best. I counted 9 targets for Best with only 2 completions. Most of the incompletions were flat and screen passes. Can somebody who watched the game fill me in on why they weren't clicking?

I would guess that Stafford was throwing the ball away in his direction.

Yes, he has stopped a lot of sacks with those sideline passes in the RB's direction.

Saw the game. Nothing much to add other than Stafford just missed him and threw at his feet at times. Best had at least one drop that was right in his chest. I wouldn't call them throw aways, most were legit targets that just didn't connect.

Best has a bad habit of looking upfield before securing the ball and does drop some easy ones. However, most of those incompletes were Stafford simply throwing the ball away in the direction of Best
