Stallworth (1 Viewer)

Rotoworld says that he participated in morning walkthrough and they are going to see what he can do in the afternoon practice

From Eagles.com.... update from this afternoon.

"Wide receiver Donté Stallworth is a patient man, so if he has to wait another few days before really knowing if he's ready to play Sunday in Tampa against the Bucs, well, that's OK.

He didn't officially practice on Wednesday, but Stallworth did some agility drills and feels much improved from where he was a week ago.

Stallworth, out the last two games and three of the last four with a hamstring injury, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bucs.

"I just did a little bit of running around," said Stallworth. "I felt OK. I felt better than I did yesterday, which is always good and I'm just trying to continue to get better every day and hopefully I can feel pretty good on Sunday."

Does he have a shot for Sunday?

WR Donté Stallworth

"Yeah, I've got a shot. There is always a shot," he said. "I'm feeling pretty good. I'm feeling a lot better than last week and hopefully that shot turns into me being out there."

Stallworth was listed as a "missed" practice on Wednesday, according to the official Eagles report. He did take part in the team's morning walk-through.

"It was more of me doing rehab things, trying to get back into the swing of things with agility drills," said Stallworth. "I'm feeling pretty good and hopefully I can continue to do more and more every day."

The next step, it seems, is taking part in practice. Stallworth did not commit when asked if he might practice on Thursday.

"I can't say right now. It depends on how I feel tomorrow (Thursday)," he said.

Unlike multi-purpose back Brian Westbrook -- who practiced sparingly over the last month but managed to play in all but one game -- Stallworth says he needs to work on his timing with quarterback Donovan McNabb.

"There's a big difference between me missing practice and him (Westbrook) missing practice. I can't afford to do that," Stallworth said. "Being a receiver, you've got to get the timing down with Donovan."

With 222 yards receiving in two games, Stallworth quickly emerged as McNabb's favorite target early in the season.

His injury first cropped up the Friday prior to the week three game in San Francisco. He sat out that contest but returned to play in the Monday night win over Green Bay. He caught one pass for 26 yards against the Packers but aggravated the same area.

Stallworth says he's trying to be smart with it. He doesn't want to rush back only to be sidelined with it again.

"If I'm ready I'll definitely be out there, but I just don't want to have any setbacks like I did in the Green Bay game," Stallworth said."

What a shame. Guy was really developing some chemistry with McNabb, and looking like the true #1 option in a huge passing offense. Who knows what kind of #s he couldve posted if this injury didnt happen
