Star Wars Commander, like clash of clans with SW, now on android (1 Viewer)

Got raided for a 100% kill will all 3 shields at level 7. Even though my shields were overlapping on all available spaces on the edge of my corner base, they were still able to drop the tanks in the space. I don't understand that because I cannot drop anything inside shields when I am deploying. Those tanks take out shields in 2 hits and do not spend 30 seconds walking to their target or get confused. Way better than AT-AT's.

New base design, we'll see how that goes. Slight modification to a few that are high on the leaderboards. Has a breach in the wall to funnel troops through..

Wonder if I should change a couple of my turrets. Have currently 3 rocket, 3 burst and 8 mortar. Thinking about going 10 mortar..

Sucks that the empire needs 3 different turrets to defend, rocket, burst, mortar, while the rebels only need rockets and mortar.

Yeah, that's a big balance issue right now. I have continually updated my base and have settled on a strategy that seems to be working. The only time I get 2-starred is when someone dumps 5-6 star fighter attacks on me.

I'm Commander Strax in the game if you want to look. There are some improvements I want to make, but it's going to take time to upgrade my shields.

 
Defenses going much better after my last base changes. Probe droids are really great in your squad as a defensive troop.

Have 4 turrets under construction and I'm still pulling off successful defenses.

Leaving a gap in the wall to funnel troops/vehicles into seems to be working well.

 
Big update came overnight.

The latest update of Star Wars: Commander contains new content in the form of Chapter 10, Campaign 3 and additional events! Also included are performance updates and optimizations to make your experience smoother as you rise up through the ranks.

New Features:

Chapter 10 now available! Convince Senator Johhar Kessen to join your faction and bring the fight to the enemy!
Dandoran gets a little spooky in Campaign 3: The Sickness—coming soon for Halloween! Beware of Death Troopers!
Prove you’re worthy of your faction in the Tournament! The first run of this recurring PvP feature will be starting soon!
Bring glory to the Emperor with new Empire units: slice your way through infantry with the Royal Guard hero and deal massive damage to shields with the TIE Defender!
Return freedom to the galaxy with new Rebel units: repair battered vehicles with the helpful R2-D2 hero unit and shatter shields with B-wing strikes!


IOS 8:
New for iOS 8 Users: get updates in the Today panel in Notification Center when troops are finished training and resources are ready for collection! Follow these steps to turn on the widget:

Unlock your phone and pull down the Notification Center.
Tap the “Edit” button at the bottom of the screen.
Select Star Wars: Commander to get updates. You can also launch the game directly from the Today panel!


Purchasing:

Fixed an issue where players would not receive crystals if the purchase flow was interrupted.


Facebook:

Fixed progress saving issues when players were unable to properly sync with the Facebook system.
Players may once again correctly login to Facebook through the app without workarounds.
Improvements to the Facebook notification system.


PvP:

Updated the game to detect PvP behavior where players would force quit the app mid-battle to avoid losing medals.
If a player performs a voluntary app minimize, and then force quits during a PvP battle, this will be counted as an intentional disconnect. Players who do this will lose the maximum amount of medals and all resources spent on the battle.

Revenge battles no longer add or remove medals from a player’s medal count in order to prevent collusion exploits.
Added improvements to the client to better prevent 1217 errors from occurring at the end of battles.


Squads:

Squad management droids have been reminded of the privileges of rank and will no longer allow officers to eject the squad leader.
Improved the Squads system to better reflect the caps for donations and the flow of squads.
Note: Squad unit cap (per person, per 24 hours) is set to 4 units. This is what leads to the grayed out donation button.

Visual improvements to the squad system, including fixes to allow chat to extend past 2 lines in the chat window.


Matchmaking/Leaderboards:

Updated PvP matchmaking to take HQ levels into account.
Note: Matchmaking improvements are an ongoing process.


AI:

Added an improvement so that healer units do not change targets after choosing a target to follow.


Content:

Fixed multiple cases where players were unable to complete or continue past certain missions.
Fixed an issue where players were unable to swap turrets at level 7.
Unit holograms have been updated to ensure that they match the correct units.


Misc:

Added a Developer Diary to the Developer section of the forums.
 
Pretty much. Although the royal guard is a beast. I havent attacked in a week and have been attacked only three times in that span. Im collecting resources and uphrading. Have zero interest in new campaign

 
I'm still playing. :bag:

The update last week had some bugs which made the AI on the AT-AT's even worse, but it's been fixed now.

Haven't been playing much but I'm still upgrading things and will do the campaign.

I'm hoping it improves....

Still playing from time to time. if you haven't, you might just want to at least attack once, then you'll start getting tournament points for successful defenses.

They have made the walkers completely useless with this dumb ai. I've had four in a row march across a base to attack a resource building getting destroyed in the process.

 
What's a successful defense?
Need to have less than 50% of your base destroyed and the HQ not destroyed.
Might want to have someone take a look at your sarcasm detector.
I don't know if anything has changed or not, but I've been attacked about 20 times in the last 2 days and the most I've been hit with is a loss of 55%.

Defenses seem to be stronger, i don't know. Some of these guys are attacking with level 7 forces and still not winning.

 
Trying to sync with my phone but I can't get past choose your call sign screen. When I go to type a name my keyboard goes away.
I find this happens on my Android device, but not my Apple one.
I emailed the app developer and received the following response, which worked for me.:

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you are having some troubles using your keyboard in Star Wars: Commander. We have heard similar reports from other guests, and encourage you to follow these steps:

Uninstall any third party keyboard apps

Check to make sure your default keyboard has been updated

Please let us know if you continue to have troubles, or if there is anything else we can help you with!

Rebel bases are basically defenseless against the black ATATs. They take out rockets before they're in rocket range and mortar don't do enough damage to them. Once black ATAT and two white ones with healing droids took out 70% of my base.

I wish mine would do half of that. They walk right into the shields and get pounded before even taking the shield out.

Every successful attack against me has used a black ATAT. Meanwhile, my tank and chewies are getting eaten up by the imperial defenses now. Though this may be to me upgrading my HQ to level 7 and not having anything else upgraded yet.

 
Why do some people have great luck with the ATAT while some like Rick and I have ours march into sure death

I have to admit, Im pretty done with this game. Im still collecting my resources but attacking is no fun to be honest. Not deleting it yet but .....

 
This game 100% sucks now. Can't even come close to winning an attack and can't build enough resources to upgrade anything because my defenses are useless now.

Thinking about uninstalling.

 
Once I stopped using wookies and switched to heavy troopers + med droids, I found the game much more playable again.
