Woke up at 4, they were down. Still down now. Must be some update.

What's New in Version 2.1.1Commanders, new chapters and improved performance have been added to the game to make your experience smoother as you rise through the ranks in this newest update!

Check out these New Features:
• Chapter 9 missions are now unlocked for both factions! Venture to Dandoran in search of Senator Johhar Kessen, who will play a key role in your faction’s fight for power!
• Updated troop and vehicle behavior in battles! Deployed units now move through battle more effectively.
• Build up your base and improve your defenses more quickly by upgrading structures directly from the Upgrade menu.
• New Starships have been added to the game!
o Rebels, unlock the Z-95 Headhunter and put its Ion torpedoes to use tearing down walls of the Empire strongholds!
o Imperials, unlock the TIE Interceptor to crush Rebel bases with its four wingtip-mounted laser cannons.
• New Empire Hero added:
o Bring destruction to the enemies of the Empire with the AT-MP Mark III!
• Added additional artwork for buildings within the game.

This update also addresses the following issues:
• Fixed issues that would cause crystal purchases to not be correctly credited to players.
• Fixed multiple error message issues that would force a player to reload at the end of combat.
• Additional fixes and performance improvements.

 
Downloading the update now. My iphone4 is 3G and sprint, so it is slow as hell. Taking forever to download and load the update. Been 15 minutes and it's about 50% done :bag:

Nope. Just giving me a different error message saying it can't connect and to check my internet connection.
OK, Getting this now too. Developer on the other forum said they needed to take down the server and apply the update. Once that was done, we should connect.

We're rolling out the updated server right now. Un-updated clients are getting kicked off; we were just waiting for battles to resolve so people didn't lose all their troops unnecessarily.The connection error 0 is expected and is just a consequence of having a client that's newer than the server. We have a work item to improve the messaging on that to make it more clear.
 
Ut oh.... I tried a raid and my Dark troopers do not hold up as well against the turrets as they did before.

Still got a ton of resources, but wasn't as easy. Will try a few more and see.

 
Hmm. Next one seemed better.

I did notice, now if you have a squad and do not deploy them, they end up back in your squad center to defend your base.

This is great as you can leave them alone and they will defend your base.

New hero looks crappy, if it is anything like the base model it will suck.

Upgraded 3 things and within 20 minutes I'm almost back to full storages.

 
Still a major issue with it calculating troops correctly. I keep having it say I'm full but then not having some of my troops available in combat. I'm not sure if it was because a vehicle was queued up while I was going into battle or what. But my vehicles keep appearing and disappearing.

This happened to my vet atst once. I couldnt test it much but my first attack netted me something like 120,000 combined

Yeah, this is new to me. I have been very careful creating enough troops to take exactly the max and I had one battle where most of my forces were missing. They are going to have to fix this one fast. That is bad.

Yes, this is bad. Someone posted on the other forums that after your build is complete, close the app and restart it as a workaround.

I'm going to try this now.

 
Imperials: I've found that vet ATST, plus 2 Hovertanks, plus a repair not on the hover tanks, is just about unstoppable. Toss in a few STs and Scouts and you can take down pretty much anything.

I've recently started using the T2-B Repulsor Tank and found that I think I like it. It packs a punch and has decent health, nice compliment to Chewie.

What level are all your troops/toys at? I'm kind of playing in a vacuum here. Oh, I also have Leia now although i haven't used her in a battle yet. I can't imagine she brings more to the table than Chewie at this point but I need to upgrade her & Han to see I guess. She's a generalist so will attack whatever but apparently takes a special interest in infantry & vehicles.

 
Love that they finally fixed the count thing for your transports! It's the small things. Taking Leia out for a spin in a bit, so many possibilities with this hero

I'm about 1/4 of the way through level 5. Just run chewie/wookiees/and some resource stealers. I have no need for the xwing or leia or vehicles. I may try a heal bot once I get them to 5.

I've found vehicles just circle walls and fire into them.

The 'location' of the ATAT appears to be at the rear of the unit. I just got attacked by one that just walked up to and blew away a wall of rocket turrets and none of them fired from being out of range.

Well, fixed one issue but caused another with it. See above.

Leia can wreck a base much like Chewie but she goes after whatever where Chewie focuses on defense. Tomato, tomatoe

Closely grouped mortars and rockets will do that combination in unless you are really good at screening them.

 
Dbear....do you have 10 troops in your Squad Center? You have space for 8, but I just donated to you and it says 10/8.

 
Looks like they nerfed the atst vet and fixed matchmaking. I was attacked 7 times last night while I was sleeping.

Now I will just try to spend it if I can instead of stockpiling.

I think the only things I won't have upgraded when I hit 6 are my squad center and my collectors. But now I'm regretting that since I am getting hit moRe. Oh well

the squad center allows you to have extra troops other than the ones you have trained. They will also serve as defense for your base. The squad center is kind of messed up right now but it's a great way to help everyone in the squad

I need to get my base in order. I've upgraded everything for the most part except for stuff I don't use like the Squad Center. I have to have a factory at lvl4 in order to advance past the first screen in the new campaign so I've been futzing with that and just leveling everything up. Need to get collectors and defenses leveled up but it's real tempting to jump to HQ6.

I know from CoC the dangers of that so I'll probably at least upgrade collectors so I can earn without attacking if necessary.

HQ6 today. Bought my walls and another shield. Upgrading Research Lab and storages now (1 of each)

Haven't raided yet, but I think it will be harder, my base number went way up after my HQ finished.

I am currently keeping my HQ outside my walls and all storages inside along with 80% of my turrets. My wall area is covered by both my shields. It seems to work ok but at this point I can still get destroyed by Chewy and mass wookies with Xwing backup taking out my turrets.

 
Just started my HQ6 upgrade today. I still have about half my buildings to upgrade to level 5 but I should be able to complete them all by the time my HQ6 is done (6 day upgrade).

I'm finding it much easier to find lootable bases now, consistently 20k+ of each, sometimes up to 40k. Upgrading the heroes and Dark Trooopers has really made a big difference. I rarely use my starships but they're always nice as backup in case I got through the shields but didnt get to the storages with my troops.

If you are the Empire use mortar and burst turrets. If you are the peons use mortar and rocket turrets

 
Level 5 Leia and 3 level 5 health droids guarding her. Unstoppable.
The droids are known to be bugged. The patch bugged them so they heal each other and cannot be destroyed. Exploit them while you can. Apparently there is a fix in the next patch.

 
Is there any reason to have rocket turrets while playing as the Empire? Just got attacked for the 1st time ever and chewbacca and a handful of standard troops steamrolled my entire base while my turrets seemed to be shooting peas.

The Rebel healing droids are bugged. Any combination with them will steamroll a base.

I don't think rocket turrets are all that great for Empire, but you do need at least a few to deal with vehicles.
