Start Lee Evans with confidence (1 Viewer)

Thank god I didn't listen to these schmucks this week! They talked me out of benching him last week and It almost cost me a win. I knew better this week.
You allow other people to determine who you start each week? :goodposting: Since I benched him the answer this week seems to be no.Lee Evans would've done much better this week if Losman had not gone down. You got lucky. What has Evans done so far with Losman at QB? That's right nothing. I'm sure you firmly believe Losman and Evans were gonna terrorize that woefull NE defense, but the rest of us in the real world knew it wasn't gonna happen.

F LEE EVANS

Biggest disaster in recent fantasy memory.
Kevan Barlow. That said, I am hoping to throw him into a trade to sweeten it - maybe I can unload Evans plus LJ in a 2 for 1 to someone who is looking to "buy low" on both.

Then again, dumping Evans for a pack of chewing gum and putting LJ on the bench aint a bad move, either

 Man, you just can't admit you are wrong, can you? I can admit I was wrong when I drafted him early. A good fantasy GM knows when to admit they made a mistake, not make excuse after excuse. If the injury to Losman was the issue, then what is your excuse for weeks 1 and 2? Come on man, you have quickly become ridiculous.

Meh. There was so much talking up of this dood that it was almost impossible not to think this guy was going to succeed. Granted, it is only week 3 but he still can put some good games together and it's better to look at him as a week 2 strong 3 versus the WR1 that so many people were pushing this year.

We've learned a couple things, or relearned.1. Evans isn't a STUD yet.

2. Playing against tough D's with a QB who isn't great (good?) is tough when there's nobody to take pressure off you

3. People are now getting low on Evans

I still like him, especially weeks 12-17.

He's had a ridiculously hard schedule to start but has been worse than expected. Now if Losman is out Evans will be in for a long year.

I'm an Evans owner and played him today (over Brandon Marshall) but I have to agree here. I live outside Buffalo so watch them every week. This team is a mess right now. Lynch is their only offense right now and they just don't have a QB who can get him the ball.

I'll eat crow...

Just awful these first 3 weeks

To think I took him over TJ Housh and Roy Williams in one league...

I am getting sick just thinking about it...

If anyone is seriously thinking about dropping Evans, consider that he has never caught a TD pass in the first three games of the season, but has finished with 9, 7 and 8 touchdowns his three years in the league. History says he will come around--it usually starts happening for him in the 7th or 8th game.

That said, the Bills' offense looks miserable. The comparison above to Andre Johnson's worst years is one that gives me pause.

Yeah, he would have caught two passes like he did the first two weeks.

That doesn't do teams that struggle early because he was drafted to be their number 1 WRs any good, does it? Sure, if your team is good overall, you can recover from a disaster like Evans, but not when WRs are going nuts left and right this year and your number 1 sucks donkey balls. I am dropping Evans this week. I have had it with him.

I think that all of us Lee Evans owners, knew deep down that Evans wasn't going to do anything at all until week 4. First three weeks were just too tough, considering there isn't anyone else for the defense to worry about. I keep starting him though, and when he breaks out with his monster game, it is going to feel great. Today, I started him over Plaxico (because I thought he wouldn't play), and Roddy White. Doesn't matter though, because even though Evans hasn't done anything for me yet, I have still escaped 3-0, barring my opponent scoring over 47 points between Reggie Bush and L. White tomorrow.

Lee Evans is good. It's not him. The OL has been terrible. Very little blocking, tons of pressure. The playcalling has been horrendus. They just refuse to open it up and try to run, run, run. The Bills have no clear cut #2 option so teams focus on Evans, which nobody can blame them for. Until **** Jauron decides to open up the passing game more, Lee Evans and the rest of the team will continue to suffer.

It's hard to give up on Evans, but I can't blame you guys at this point. The outlook for this season is very bleak. They're facing one of the toughest schedules in the NFL this year on top of that. The "revamped" line looks worse than last year and the team obviously is having confidence issues after an 0-3 start and no production on the offensive side. I'm a believer in JP and Evans.

If the OL picks up their play and DJ starts to call more pass plays, I can see them doing much better. However, I wouldn't hold my breath.

And now I make my move for him..
I've got Evans in one of two leagues.Things have now reached the point where in the league in which I *don't* have Evans, I'm unsure whether I'd even trade my WR5 (James Jones) for him. Even a solid-but-unspectacular guy like Jones could realistically outscore Evans going forward.

Thankfully I started Chambers instead this week. I am seriously thinking of dropping Evans to pick up either Curtis, Mason or White.
