starting 2wr from the same smart or stupid? (1 Viewer)

I have been debating a couple wr duos this year that I think would be smart to start both player. Julio and Roddy, dez and miles, Cruz and nicks, Jordy and Jennings, and almost thinking that megatron and Titus could end up being a good one too. Is anyone rolling with this idea I know it could burn you a couple times but I personally think depending on the draft positions I wouldn't pass on a guy just because I have another wr on the team

Thought I was reading an SWC post for a second there...nice run-on sentence. I would not mind Roddy/Julio, Cruz/Nicks, or Jordy/Jennings, but I would also make sure and draft my WR3 and WR4 rather soon, as you will need 2 for bye weeks.

Nothing wrong with it.

Last year, I started 2 TEs from the same team in a league that doesn't even require TEs. Won the league and will be doing it again this year.

Also had a Dez/Miles combo in a league last year, but they weren't on the field together that often.

I think it used to be considered a limited upside play, but with some of these pinball machine offenses, there's plenty of upside to go along with the minimized risk.

I think picking any 2 main targets of Brees, Rodgers, Brady, Ryan, Stafford, and Eli is a fine play this year. Romo too, if those guys see the field together.

Wouldn't be afraid to roll out Roethlisberger's guys together either.

I won my league last year with Julio and Roddy. Both were cash money down the stretch.

If the value's there, I wouldn't worry about it. Once you have two pieces of a passing attack, though, I'd hesitate to add any more to mitigate against total team meltdown. Dez + Austin, okay, Dez + Witten, okay, but all three not so okay, for example.
