First off, this seemed to be the best forum to place this thread. If mods feel it would work better elsewhere please feel free to move. We can keep things as specific or as general as possible as I hope some other fbg'ers will be able to take value from this thread.
I've been playing for 5 seasons and have finally decided to start my own league with a few friends. It's going to be a mostly friendly league and we won't play for more than a couple hundred dollars.
This will be a live draft (auction - last year was my first auction and I'll never go back) and we're looking to have 8 teams. 10 would be nice but we can't find two more owners so it's not that big a deal. I have zero experience with 8 team leagues and I don't want to make certain positions too easily available so I was curious how other 8 team leagues handled this situation. I was considering solving this problem by making teams start the following:
2 qb's
2 rb's
4 wr's
1 te
1 k
1 d/st
I think this would solve some problems with an oversaturation of quality but if anyone with 8 team leagues has some experience/insight to share it would be greatly appreciated. I know 8 team leagues are different than 12/14 team leagues but advice from all is more than welcome.
