Now, all of a sudden...I have to RE-LEARN this complex looking piece of crap!

They did me some great favor by moving information from our old league to the new one....big help...

LOL, why not just stop. Go back to tracking it manually and looking up the box scores in the newspaper. Then you can calculate it up with a calculator...then again, it might be scientific calculator and could be too much of a hassle. There are GREAT deals on #2 pencils and paper...good luck!

MFL can do almost anything that you can think of. My only problem with them is how they track the KR position, which isn't too big of a problem at all. The ability to use different offensive formations and plenty of space to use your own coding was what brought my league there and I'm glad that we made the move.Brooklyn FFL

Which is? Seriously do you just have a grudge against the world. You can do whatever your hearts desire with MFL or you can follow their set up. They have pretty much unlimited scoring options, easy draft set up, easy auction and waiver set up, an easy playoff format set up and minute by minute scoring updates. What is the problem again?

Owners like this are the reason there are still leagues that don't use decimal scoring, and won't switch to auction.

Instead of fearing change, why not embrace it, and see what cool things MFL allows you to do?

WOW!!! Relax man. I get the feeling that maybe you don't deal well with change. Kind of like that old guy at the office that has to use email now. Either you can embrace change or be pi$$ed off the rest of your life. I'm sorry your site got shut down but that isn't anyone's fault here. If you don't like MFL, don't use it. It does take a bit of getting used to. I wouldn't call it user friendly or anything, but overall I would say they produce a good product. I've tried several different sites and have found MFL to be my favorite, but that's me.

To be honest, I don't believe MFL is all that user friendly. Your first look at it can be somewhat daunting because there seems to be links and tabs all over the place, and they aren't all intuitive.

BUT...there's a reason they're #1...just because it isn't intuitve doesn't mean it's not good...especially for commisioners.

Relax, be patient, and play with it a little. There's lots of help available and I'd be willing to bet that once you get used to it you'll like it better then any other site you've tried.

"Sorry...you cannot list owners independatly. They need to be listed together in the "Owner" space in each franchise setup screen. I know this would have been self-evident if only the designer had made to box to read "Owner(s)"....the same would apply to "email address(es)"

These answers could also be accompanied by a disclaimer that stated that "although in STATSWORLD you COULD contact ALL franchise owners of a single franchise by clicking on the franchise name...OR...contact a single owner by clicking on that owner's name under the "Owner's" heading...this is not true with MFL. Sorry about that".

I wonder what will be the SECOND thing I look to do to bring MFL up to speed with the program I've used for the past ten years?

You posted on those forums and you were given the answer. Didn't seem to difficult to me. Good luck to your wife and kids because with that attitude you got there I am sure their life is full of rainbows and lollipops.

So my commish is thinking of switching to MFL, I think its a great move but any advantages you guys like about MFL?

MFL can do almost anything that you can think of. My only problem with them is how they track the KR position, which isn't too big of a problem at all. The ability to use different offensive formations and plenty of space to use your own coding was what brought my league there and I'm glad that we made the move.Brooklyn FFL

Well..in two minutes and very little effort...I found something that it can't do....something pretty damn basic.

They're a company that does web development and this site was just a concept for them, used frequently for demos for potential clients. It had reached a point where it wasn't state of the art and wasn't worth updating, although the owners are huge FF fans. I'm looking forward to trying out MFL, actually.

Just don't try to send an email to the same user on multiple email adresses using MFL by clicking on the member name. According to the OP, you will be highly disappointed Besides that, it is a great product...but I just can't seem to get over the EMAIL SENDING ISSUE

OK, so I was a bit distruaght when I found that my STATSWORLD web site had been devoured by the mega-monster fantasy web service...MFL and I MAY have vented a bit here.....

...Ok...so I did...so what?

Well...I took some advice, I sat back and considered my options.

After looking around the MFL site I could see that its very close to that I left at STATSWORLD. My problem was the appearance of the site. It was unfamiliar

Changing the appearance of the site was totally out of my league. I know NOTHING about web design....writing HTML...and stuff like that.

SO.....I revert back to what my daddy taught me...."people get paid to do things you may not be able to do....don't be askeered use 'em".

So...I did!!

I contacted the boys at DA GRAPHICS and put 'em to work! The cost of the "upgrade' will be spread over the 14 franchise owners in the league. It is much easier to swallow that way!

We've used Statsworld since the league's conception in 1999. The main reason being...we don't like change...ESPECIALLY when it comes to our scoring rules. Even though a few good suggestions had been made, I just couldn't make it happen. Well, guess what boys...I can now make those changes! What changes? you may ask...well, how about THIS one:

Remember asking WHY points count against my DEF/ST when they weren't even on the field when they were scored? My answer was always..."that's the way Statsworld tracks it. SURPRISE!! Our scoring rules can now track it!! From this point forward....only points scored by an opposing teams OFFENSE (while your Defense is on the field) will count against your 5 points!! YEA!

DId I mention the link to PayPal on the homepage? Just checking.

Oh yeah...and remember how I had to "babysit" the Waiver Wire to make sure that anyone without money on account would not get a player before someone who had money on account...THEN, when I put in on "autopilot" owners would end up going into a negative balance and take weeks to pay the money? Well...those day are over. With this new site, if you don't have any money in your account...you can't make trades OR pick players off the Wire! Great, huh?

SETTING UP YOUR FRANCHISE: Be VERY careful here...you don't want to mess up your team's logo or anything else. All you really need to fill in here is your personal information. Fill in any information that does NOT pertain to the appearance. Use commn sense here....don't screw up the appearance of or site!

Under the tab "For Owners" at the top of the page, you'll find a link to "Franchise Setup". Most everything you'll need is under the "Basic" setup. There are many other options under the "Advanced" option...but BE CAREFUL. There are things in here you do not want to mess with.

It does exactly what you're talking about.First, it says on the screen where you enter franchise info, beneath the box to enter emails:

Hint: Use a comma to separate multiple email addresses. Having problems getting email from the site? Check out our Help Center for suggested solutions.

If you had done what it said on the screen, you would have found you could click on a team name and it would take you to their team info page. And all the owner's emails would be listed there where you can click once and send an email to all of their addresses at once, doing exactly what you're complaining it doesn't.
