Steelers @ 49ers Game Thread (1 Viewer)

That was an impressive drive. Slow and steady but totally dominated the Steelers and negated the blitz. Until they hit the red zone, of course. Another field goal. Wish they could score a touchdown at some point but 3 points is 3 points!
Browns did the same thing on their first drive last week.

Pitt got lucky there. Alex Smith made about 4 BAD passes in a row in the red zone. This ain't the Cards or the Seadogs you're playing here. You gotta capitolize on each and every opportunity.

After what we've seen from the teams this year, there is no reason not to compare Cleveland with San Francisco. They're the same team, essentially.

Luv how WR's are runnin across the middle now with impunity. In the old days he would've been lit up like a hanukah bush

Mendy was open
Mendenhall is open on those safety valve plays a LOT.The fact that Ben never even looks in his direction after coverage downfield is obviously good for 3-4 seconds is maddening.

Wasn't comparing the teams, just pointing out that it's a little early to talk about domination.

He said they dominated the drive, which they did.

Ben isn't stepping into his throws at all. It's too bad, because there are receivers running free on almost every play. An injured Ben is still better than Batch, though.

An ugly win tonight is about the best any Steelers fan can hope for.

My advice is to run run run. Be patient and wait for Alexander the terrible to screw things up.

Can Chuckie Gruden shut up for one minute?? Man I thought I was bad.

Looks like the 9ers want to use Gore a bit in the passing game tonight, which is nice, but he can't seem to catch the ball. Not enough practice this year.
