Pickett doesn't look very good in the pocket... I know the Steelers Oline is bad... but he seems to run into trouble frequently.

Thankfully, the game is not available in my area so I can't watch it. But kicking a FG is almost certainly the right play. It's early in the second half so there is plenty of time. The prospect of two TDs plus two 2-point conversions is highly improbable plus that only gets you tied anyway. Shooting for 17-16 is a good strategy.
 
If there was a stock market for the most fragile players in the NFL, I’d be bullish on Freiermuth. Something is always up with that guy
 
They can’t defend that call . They’ve been running well this quarter, takes the play action off the table

Cripes even a DG would’ve made it a 1 possession game
 
Why are they punting down by 17 with 10 minutes left in the game? I realize they probably won't make it, lol, but punting is surrendering the game.

Because they surrendered.. The backup QB is in, the team has quit, Pickens is ready for a melt down.

Called damage control.
 
It is important context that Houston is bad and playing without their whole line. I don't remember a worse Steelers performance, and I remember the 1989 opener.
 
The Steelers are a stagnant organization at this point. I agree that they aren’t changing anything. But we will get some good sound bites tomorrow.

You aren't getting anything.. Tomlin will say the same BS and the media won't ask him tough questions..

Pickens may ***** on SM, but that will be it.
 
As a Pittsburgher, and Steeler fan, I think we might be on the verge of the worst season in decades, there is a real chance they win 3 games this year, cause nothing is going to change, Canada is not getting fired, there is no minor leagues to bring young players up from. Tomlin is set in his ways, and it might ruin his career here. I'd be afraid if they got a top 3 pick, they wont take Caleb or Marvin or Maye, they'd take a center or safety.

Oh come on..

Quit being dramatic. They still have a ton of talent and will probably win 7-8 games. If a team fielding Duck Hodges won 8 games, this team will also.
