Steelers RB-Who to Own? (1 Viewer)

I, like I'm sure many others who drafted Mendenhall, picked up Redman to start this week with Mendy having a hamstring injury. And what happens, some guy named Dwyer comes in and gets 107 yards on 11 carries and Redman gets only 49 yards on 15 carries.

Going forward what do you think happens here? Mendenhall has not shown any burst so far this season. Will they come back to him when he's healthy or is either Redman or Dwyer more likely to get the carries?

The job is Mendenhall's.

I'd rather own Dwyer than Redman, simply because I think he's a far better runner. When in doubt, I always go with upside.

Yeah, I hear you and I agree he looked better today but he had done nothing before today's game. And, oh by the way, we also have Mewelde Moore to consider. He was out today.

Dwyer is inactive most weeks and only got a helmet because Mendy was hurt... he's not taking anyone's job.

Once Mendy gets healthy, things will go back to the way they've been the first four games; Mendy #1, Redman #2, and Memo getting some 3rd down / 2 minute offense work.

Mendenhall - today's game might make it easier to trade for him if you are so inclined.

The Steelers offense came to life today. Their o-line played better so hopefully this will bode well for Mendy going forward. He does have a favorable schedule ahead.

Redman had some good positive runs moving the chains today. Dwyer broke a long one that helped make his stat line impressive. I haven't seen Mendenhall look as good at any point this year as either of the other two guys did today. But the coaching staff has been emphatic that Mendy is still the man.

Rashard Mendenhall - RB - Steelers Though he has a high regard for Isaac Redman, OC Bruce Arians shot down speculation that Rashard Mendenhall could lose his feature back job.

"Red's done a good job with his opportunity, and he hasn't failed us yet," Arians said. "But Rashard's the guy, and everything starts with him. He's the ace." With Mendenhall (hamstring) facing a game-time decision this week, Redman is preparing for 20-30 touches as the every-down back against the Titans. Mendenhall will resume starting once the hamstring heals.

Thanks man, that's good info! Lets just hope the o-line continues to improve and Mendenhall returns to at least what he was last year.
