Steelers vs Chiefs - Wild Card (-12.5, o/u 46) (1 Viewer)

Agreed, but when you give up 42+ points in three straight playoff games, and Blake Bortles and Baker Mayfield were the starting QB for the opponent in two of them, that seems like a problem.  For as great a job a Tomlin usually does in the regular season, his teams regularly poop the bed in the postseason.
I'm with you on the Jags loss but it wasn't like Blake Bortles lit them up that day, unless you consider 14-26, 214, 1TD a great performance.

Mayfield had a nice game in the 2020 playoff game (21-34, 263, 3 TD) but the real killer was the 5 turnovers.

Last night the Steelers were just overmatched by a team with much superior talent.

Don't get me wrong, these last 3 playoff losses were bad and it may be a while before the Steelers play in another postseason game.  Then again most pundits predicted the Steelers to finish last in the division.

Maybe not you but no one?

Steeler schizophrenia is a well-known malady.  I'm sure we'll be getting the fire Tomlin takes any day now if it hasn't already begun.
Every fan base is like this but I agree it is worse for the Steelers.  I think many Steelers fans don't realize how good they have had it which is weird coming from a city that has the Pittsburgh Pirates.

EXACTLY.  It's a spoiled fan base and its exasperating to see the spin cycle.

You sure about that?  Vegas had the Steelers win total at 8, and they won 9, so they didn't exactly outperform their expectations by a lot.  I think most thought the Bengals would be improved, but still finish last in a tough division.  Either way, could be tough sledding for the Steelers going forward depending on who their QB is. Trust me, as a Broncos fan, if you don't have the right QB, it can be brutal.

It is worse than a playoff trend.

We saw the worst defense of any team all year over this span of time.

The Chiefs scored 35 points in the span of 691 seconds of game time.

That's the shortest amount of time taken by a team to score 35 points all season.

I recall most predictions in preseason had the Steelers dead last in the AFC North.
